Injuries are part of the game, but I know we all hate to see them. My son got his knee tore up his senior year in practice going half speed. Played since LL and never had a serious injury. Go figure. Cost him a potential scholarship, but college footballs loss, was the Marine Corps gain. Hope this young man comes back next year, twice as strong.

No shortage of blame on each side - absolutely! Although I may detest many democrat politicians for their political/social stances, at least they're out in the open about it. Even worse, imo, are some Republicans (and Democrats) who get elected pretending to love our country, and our way of life, but have an agenda of globalization. An aim that in my feeble mind is treasonous. Must stop now & let my bp go down.

It,s refreshing when you see a commercial that is actually good. Of course, I may get a kick out of one you detest. I use to get a laugh out of an Allstate commercial where the guy was a GPS, and has the driver run into something, and he says, Recalculate. Probably like it since I don't have a GPS lol.

You, my good friend, are an anomaly. A liberal (barely by today's standards) who bases his opinion from a level playing field. We may not always agree, but I always respect your post. And if you do see something different from me, I definitely stop and rethink why. That's what's great! And I'll vote Trump because Hillary is the worst candidate I've seen in my long lifetime. If he wins, which I doubt, I may not vote for him four years from now. But the key to me is, I don't know how good/bad a job Trump will do. I do know about Hillary.

For the simple fact that a man (white) was wearing a Make America Great Again hat, he was attacked by a mob (black) of, what I can only assume are Hillary supporters. Will this be on CBS, NBC, ABC, or CNN? I'll faint if it happens. Probably not even Fox. Now, as in the movie, "A Time to Kill", imagine it was a man (black) wearing a Hillary hat, being attacked by a mob (white) of Trump supporters. Do you think it would be on any News Channel? I'd stake my life on it. It's a sure thing. And for those of you who know little of the rise to power of Hitler, and the Nazi party, this action emulates the Nazi Brown Shirts. The Brown Shirts didn't discuss, debate, or verbally ridicule the opposition to Hitler and The Party, they physically attacked and beat them. Just like this. And as their power grew, even the press wouldn't report it. Only difference here, the press is complicit in the lefts tactics. The ultra liberals on this board will read this and won't learn anything from it. They'll spend time making some absurd rebuttal. Most conservatives know this stuff is going on already. So why do I post this? I guess in the vain hope that someday one ultra liberal will start to think, this isn't right, and began to question what's going on. Since Porter passed for 400+ yards, no wonder the Coogs only give up 350 yards rushing. Not many of your opponents run the ball much. You line up against Vidor, and your going to get hit every play. Ty, but I'm not sure why you changed "are" to "were"? According to what I read, The Balkans is comprised of a peninsula and a cultural area, in SE Europe. I assume it's still there, even though the name of the countries have changed. But even at my age, I'm still eager to learn. And I'll be the first to tell you, even though I was better in geography than most of my studies, the globes of today are to hades and gone from what I learned 55 years ago lol.

Jmo, y'all would have trouble stopping Vidor this year. They'd run so many different ways, the Cougars are bound to like one of'em. You're right, never seen Crosby play since Lamar. Haven't seen Vidor play since Angleton. Just don't appreciate folks downing a team and a community. Vidor doesn't have all the big bucks coming in from Industry. Doubt they could afford Turf. But there's been a lot more football games played on grass than artificial turf.

Nice post. I'm not a football historian, but from what little I know, the record between Crosby & Vidor is Vidor 1 and Crosby 0. So that "antiquated" system beat y'all down once, and probably will again if y'all even make the playoffs. Notice how many doomsday shows there are now? Zombies, Z-Zombies, World War Z, Strain, etc.. Just saw another, Aftermath (might be good if you like these types). Does make one think about the end of the world. Possibilities? Biblical, diseases, nuclear, big asteroid, Hillary getting elected (liberals, don't leave, just joking). A lot of folks worry about it. Other than the Biblical part, there's not a lot we can do about it. It dawned on me quite a few years back, why do people worry about it so much. The world ends everyday for @ 155,000 people. That's approx how many die everyday. Plenty, not of old age, or disease, but from car wrecks, other accidents, shootings, drownings, etc.. Personally, I'm ruling out zombies. I've laid my cards on the table, so I just wonder what y'all think.
