You been sniffing papermill fumes from Evadale. If either team wins by more than a TD, I'll go into cardiac arrest. -
Lady Rebs are rolling. Go girls!

He was awesome. On D, he'd get in the offensive backfield and grab a 2 or 3 of RB's, and cull them out until he found the one with the ball. He made All State, and had offers from Rice and others. Lamar didn't offer him one. When he went to them, they said they didn't think he'd want to go there, and gave him one. That's how I remember it. He was a great guy, and came from a great family. And a good friend from those days.

You're an undercover agent for Neumann. I fear for your safety when the real PNG fans find out. What a strategic clandestine operation. A new low in HS football

Okay Pirate fans. Listen to this and get pumped up. -
No, Vidor didn't play Ned that year. They had just moved up to 4A, and Vidor was still 3A. Coach was Edgar Payne. Came to Vidor after an 0-10 season. Went 6-4 his first year, and lost at State Semi Finals by penetrations, although Vidor lead in every offensive category. He retired due to health reasons, but was one of the best Coaches ever in this area, imo. And Vidor had the best looking uniforms I've ever seen.

Seriously, best of luck to them. It's not good for the kids, or the community, to be a "whipping boy" in District.

It is what it's all about. Although not the big rivalry game, Vidor vs Ned is usually a smash mouth football game. And it's kinda sad to see the Ned dreams of another DC go down the tubes tonight. Ned had a good plan in the beginning. But There is no more pretending. We'd hope that the story, Would end in Ned glory, But at presence Vidor is winning. -
If you're at game, hope you can post quarterly scores. I think this is going to be a good one. I may see Rebs for half. Still trying to get over Hemphill trip last night for JV. After you get off 96, there's a time, space arp. The 12 mile trip takes an hour.

Lowered their signing bonus for outside help. Kids going where they get the best bucks PS, there was a time Kingwood was the land of money.

He's impressed the poop out of me. He's on a roll. Move over shallow water and let the deep sea roll. -

Fantastic post. I suspect that everyone on this Forum will like it, except for the folks from nederville. Doggie on a stick - priceless -
I agree. First, it's great to have a great team. Second, it's great to see another school improving their program. My G'daughter grad last year, & played basketball and volleyball. The competition in our Dist was pretty bad. Of course we have Deweyville now in vball, and they have a super player. Yes Coach Williams does a great job, teaching sports and setting a high standard these young men can learn from. Great guy. Good luck tonight. Holler at me next week.

I think they're a cinch third. District is pretty weak. Flip a coin for forth. I'm convinced, Evadale, Hull Daisetta, and Iola are a lock, but Rebs better not overlook HD, or we'll have a little Porter/Crosby.
-
Heck, if Vidor beats Ned, I may do a hundred post on that lol
-
I think whoever does the State Funding has already messed up HS sports. All these kids move around from one school to another, and as I understand it, the schools accept them to get more State money. Use to be, if you lived in Evadale, and wanted to go to school in Vidor, you had to pay. Heck, last year, or year before, some school won the State C. in basketball with 5 kids that had just moved to that school. Then again, maybe I'm just a grumpy old man.

Fantastic! As an old, old Pirate, I'm glad to hear that. Think the JV doing good also. Sounds like the future of Pirate football is in good hands. Enjoy it - it goes by so fast. Even faster for G'kids, I think.
-
I think you made the right choice going with Evadale. For one of your upsets, you should have picked Deweyville. I missed Hull Daisetta all four games lol. Speaking of which, What has turned them around? They're playing some really good ball.
-
They probably won by so much they're embarrassed to put it up. If you're a proud mother of a Vidor Fr, what's their record for the year?
