Regardless of what anyone thinks, Vidor is the underdog. Heck, if Ned was 0-4 and Vidor 4-0, for the Pirates to beat Ned would still take a good effort. For Vidor to win this game, it'll take a super effort by every Pirate on the field, every play. Errorless football, and maybe a break or two. I've seen a few games when Vidor had the best team, and still lost. Is there such a thing as a jinx? I don't know, but if there is, Vidor is jinxed against Nederland.

It's been an upset year (Crosby/Porter). I'd give Hornets a better chance at home, but at Rebel Field, with the small stands packed, it's a long shot. Mine is Vidor over Ned. That's a long shot any time, any year. Go Rebels.

Vidor/Ned rivalry is a standing joke. Anyone in this area who knows a football has two points on it knows PNG/ Ned is the rivalry. Vidor's biggest rival is Allen, but they keep dodging the Pirates.
