  1. You may be right, and if the majority of Native Americans find it offensive, I'd back the change. My concern is, if it is changed, the extreme Left, not the Native Americans, will demand all references to NA's not be used. The extreme Left is not rational. Imo, they're on a power (corruption) trip.
  2. My wife and I read two mystery series by M.C. Beaton. Got them all read and was looking for another. Thanks for the tip.
  3. I can't even spell phicics, much less the Q word. But let me educate you on portals and wormholes. In these things, time & space is folded. You travel hundreds of light years in a matter of minutes or hours. You should have read more science fiction and less phicics and you'd know this stuff Oh, and we know about cold fusion. In A Christmas Story, the turd stuck his tongue to a freezing flag pole lol
  4. As I stated on the "channel surfing stop for movie", I like Cormac McCarthy and specifically, No Country for Old Men and Blood Meridan. One other is W.E.B. Griffin who has several series, including one called The Corp, consisting of 10 books that are historically accurate, but the characters are fictional.
  5. My SIL turned me on to Cormac. That Blood Meridan made my skin crawl. They were going to make a movie out of it, but I guess it's on hold. If you ever hear it's back on, let me know. Talk about a horror flick!
  6. Pervert Oh, another I like but my wife doesn't, Tin Cup. Any guy who's favorite restaurant is Waffle House can't be all bad.
  7. Yes, we got a lot, but from what I hear, y'all did get a LOT. LOL, the funny thing about these Forums. You see how the same word can mean different things. And had we known it was coming, we probably wouldn't call it a lot. It was "a lot" here because there wasn't any expected. Two inches of rain in Las Vegas is a lot. If we know it's coming, 2" ain't to bad. I'm crazy enough, I better stop thinking about this
  8. What concerns me bd, is all these people who think Bush lied, and all democrats where sure there weren't any WMD's. If someone wants to defend democrats, that's fine. If they know their information is correct, bring it. The only lying on the WMD's was the democrats after very little was found. Forget they have deserts they could bury them in. Neighboring countries to ship them to. Bush lied? That's male bovine feces.
  9. I would think all the American Bears would be outraged over what's going on at Baylor lol
  10. If when you say WMD's, you're referring to Saddam Hussein, you might want to check out what many Democrats said prior to Desert Storm. Also, prior, I personally saw a 60 Minutes segment that showed that he had used poison gas on a Kurdish village, with dead bodies of men women & children strewn all over the streets. He definitely had them. I don't know what he did with them, but he had them. [Hidden Content]
  11. Trump is currently being audited by the IRS, as he has been every year for the last decade. I found this info when I googled, How many times has Trump been audited: [Hidden Content] Then I googled the same question for Bill & Hillary and this was all I found: [Hidden Content] If you can find how often Bill & Hillary have been audited, I'd appreciate you post it so we could compare Clinton vs Trump audit history.
  12. Thought about having two .30 Cal machine guns mounted behind my headlights, but I don't have a concealed carry permit, yet
  13. Yep, the weather folks missed this one. Was excited about ground drying out. Have a guy was going to put some post in for me Monday morning. So much water standing now, I just put a trotline out
  14. Hey bullets, don't know if you have time for much reading, but the book No Country For Old Men, I thought was great. Movie is closer to book than most, but book gives much more of the Sheriffs thoughts and reflections than they could put in the movie. I've read it twice, but the advantage of old age is you don't remember much lol. Oh, great thread.
  15. The ones I stop on? Hmmm. I'll have to make two list. The, ones I can stop on, and the ones I'd like to but my wife absolutely, positively, doesn't. Me too on Shawshank, Dead Man's Walk (prequel to Lonesome Dove), We Were Soldiers, No Country for Old Men (did that last night). All for now - dementia. Would but can't: Godfather 1 & 2, and not movies but.... Wildlife doc's, NASA Unexplained Files, or UFO investigations.

  17. No bdb, this post needs to go under Useful Rants
  18. [Hidden Content] Took me a second to notice the wind turbines.
  19. [Hidden Content] Since I refer to salt as, "The seasoning of the Gods", I knew this was coming. These would be experts, change their advice like folks change their underwear. Eggs bad, eggs good, coffee bad, coffee good, meat bad (oh crap, look how many vegans are dying), meat good. Wonder if the restaurants in NY will be able to put salt shakers back on the tables.
  20. And just ignored Evadale? The nerve! maybe he'll tweet about us when he sings Can't stop the smelling
  21. Just finished the GOT second series "last night". Thought it was about 11:30 and looked at my watch - dadgum, it's 1:30 in the morning. On the plus side, the only Lanister worth a poot is still alive, barely. Not sure why head of family has ostracized my little buddy. Amazon is cool. Mother of dragons is dangerous. And if there isn't enough going on, The Walking Dead cast extras have shown up. Durn show is more addictive than cocaine. And like Hoops, I kept resisting it for a long time.
  22. I just watched ten Matlocks and it never came up, but he's in Ga anyway. It's much more entertaining than all that reading tvc
  23. She is scary. I could see her sitting there with her head spinning around. I'd hate to be the one to do an exorcism on her.
  24. It's just one mans opinion. Like you and I post all the time (except he probably gets paid lol). Were I not a conservative, I probably wouldn't like it either.
