  1. Yep, them old boys have a bird nest on the ground, and it's full of golden eggs. Couldn't drag them outta there with a bulldozer.
  2. I've responded to you before on this. I vote Republican and IMO both parties, and thus Congress, are mostly controlled by the RNC & DNC. Thus when I vote on Fred to represent me and my part of SE Texas, and Fred ends up under the RNC thumb, I've lost my representation. I honestly think that's where we are at. There are a few Mavericks. That's another reason why I like Cruz, the RNC doesn't like him because he's willing to rock the boat. Like Sanders, who I dislike probably as much as you dislike Cruz. He's goofy, but I at least admire the fact that he appears to not kowtow to the DNC. Just an old mans opinion, and I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so.
  3. I guess they missed the StarTrek show when Spock said, "The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few". Again, IMO, this is the result of our Govt giving Protected Rights Status to many different groups. There starts being "overlap" of Rights and it ends up obfuscating the whole process. And the LGBT is currently the pick of the litter. Their Rights supersede anyone else's.
  4. I looked up Hal Lewis, and indeed he did write a letter of resignation from the APS due to the the corruption of science by money. Something he said President Eisenhower had warned of back in the 50's. The letter tends to validate those that have been saying money has created the global warming scenario. Personally, I find it sad that the scientific community has been bought, and can no longer be trusted.
  5. This is one mans opinion that's worth a read. [Hidden Content]
  6. Lmbo, Good Point. I'm 99% sure they wouldn't like me or you LRF, and that's a good thing
  7. And if any of you still wonder why Mississippi created this law, you might read this interesting link. [Hidden Content]
  8. They sure don't like Ted in NY.
  9. No, I don't know that. I stated that on my first line. The remainder of the post was based on that. Your post stated why they had no reason to do what they did. I was merely showing you another possibility that, if true, should be valid. "Not enough info to make that call". I agree, but the but the court in Oregon made the call. Based on what little I read, in Oregon there's not Any Reason good enough. And that is probably why Mississippi has this law, for without it, Christian beliefs can be trampled. The court ruled they discriminated against the gay couple. IF their refusal was based on their belief that they would be committing a grievous sin, then They are being discriminated against by the courts judgement (Govt refusal of religious rights). That's the problem you have when the Govt starts deciding who all is protected and you have overlapping rights. Someone gets the shaft. Now the LGBT is the current flavor of the month, but not the right to abuse everyone else's rights.
  10. I can only speculate on why they choose not to bake the cake. Each individual Christian (as well as others), have their own beliefs about a lot of things. I'm confident that most Christian bakers would have made this cake. But to these particular folks, it appears that to bake this cake was like a participation in the ceremony, which they consider to be a sin. To them, they were saving their souls for eternity. I'm not asking you to agree with me, or them. I just wanted you to understand why they did what they did. It wasn't condoning, or not, the couples lifestyle. To them, it was much bigger than that.
  11. No doubt it'll be ignored. I'll go back to the animal shows I've watched. Take elephants for instance. If one of a herd comes under attack, normally the rest of the herd will go to the victims defense. That's what Americans use to do. The wildabeast cross rivers in large numbers and ignore those that the crocs get. That's what we've become. Just ignore the problem and whatever happens will happen to someone else. Smh
  12. I'm like Smitty, what is wrong with that article? It was taken from an interview with the NY Daily News. I have no use for Hillary, but personally, I find it refreshing for a politician to admit a tax increase prior to an election. A rare, truthful moment.
  13. I'm sorry, I have no idea who he is, or the guy Obama had. I only know the latest one had an ankle bracelet on. I don't know if Eazy E had one. But the fact you ID him as a Gangsta Rapper indicates to me he probably shouldn't have been invited to the White House either.
  14. I've badmouthed the RNC & DNC in several post. IMO, both control the vast majority of our politicians. I'm just not sure who controls the RNC & DNC. It appears to me that our whole political system is upside down. That's the reason a rich, arrogant, New York businessman won the Rep nomination in most of the Southern states. An unheard of achievement.
  15. I'm afraid you're right bd. They now realize how powerful they are. And we all know that absolute power corrupts. Our only hope, as I posted above, is that they've moved to far to fast. I'd like to think when everyone, including most liberals, realize what they're up too, there will be so much outrage, they'll have to back off. Unfortunately, my fellow Americans have disappointed me lately, so I wouldn't bet a lot on the above scenario.
  16. Ain't that the dying truth. Healthcare, military, IRS, AG, etc etc. Every nook and cranny (whatever those are lol). Only one that appears to be trying to do right is the FBI. And guess how long the Director will last if Hillary gets elected, after the Email investigation.
  17. You know, they're always saying that career politicians are out of touch with everyday life. I guess they are. I can't imagine a local politician having a program for our youth and having some yahoo with an ankle bracelet on (even if it was pretty lol) to entertain them. Some parents would be wanting a piece of that politician.
  18. Another new one for me - Entertainer with ankle bracelet at White House. I would think the POTUS would have certain "standards". Guess not.
  19. And the hits just keep on coming.
  20. Lol, probably well deserved. I thot the attire was appropriate, but I'm a sick individual
  21. And I use to dread using an outhouse, which is preferable to what's coming
  22. Is this just another smokescreen, or do y'all think something will actually get done? [Hidden Content]
  23. Here's another lovely reminder. I sincerely hope they're going to far, to fast. I doubt most liberals would want this. I sure hope not. IMO this is not liberal, this is ultra left. [Hidden Content]
  24. For a relatively small group of people to be able to dictate policy to all of us is something I find disturbing. [Hidden Content]
  25. Had four Sr's. Only one starter, although the other 3 got plenty of playing time. Four starters back. PG made All State as Soph. I'd say not quite the depth and experience on the bench, but close. Several good JV players coming up. Bottom line, I expect the Lady Rebs to have another great season.
