[Hidden Content] Weird stuff, but if it's going to happen, I'm not surprised it's happening in a Muslim country.

And when gas was $4 a gallon, the price of food went way up because of "transportation cost". I haven't noticed food prices going down since gas has went down. It's a strange phenomenon.

I don't know about all synthetic oils, but I can tell you that Mobil 1 is the real deal. Worth the extra money. FYI:. Amazingly, most people around here don't realize it, but until @ 2 years ago, all the Mobil 1 in the Western Hemisphere was made in Beaumont. I would guess that still, at least, 90% is.

Thank goodness Evadale has a domed stadium

I think it's a necessary evil. A few Coaches want to win at all cost, and 99% of HS boys will tell his Coach his arm is fine, even when it isn't.

Yep, about the same chance as a Republican presidential candidate winning New York and California. .

Mississippi has taken a bold step to defend religious liberty

I have no problem with the Policy at The Citadel. That's not the point. The point was that her aim was to be the victim. Why else would a Muslim female want to go there? Why there when she could attend any other state funded school in SC and be accepted with her Hijab? Because it's her right? Bull feces, she wants to "stir the pot", be the victim, chip away at America. The Citadel was founded in 1842 and there have been no exceptions. So here comes a female Muslim. -
I wish liberals, and some moderates would wake up to the fact that the Govt lies thru their teeth on the cost of Socialist programs.

How true. A prime example is the Muslim female who wants to attend The Citadel and wear cloth over her face, and disrespect the dress code required of all the other students. Bingo, The Citadel lets her, or She's the Victim. -
Congratulations to the Rebels over a very good Douglass team. Another good pitching performance by Daniel Bean.

I agree with you b13. The fact of a business having to cater/bake for a gay wedding is, in my opinion, an infringement on the religious rights of the owner. What hacks me off is this "in your face" attitude of to many homosexuals, especially since they've got this "endangered species" law that protects them like the infamous snail darter minnow. If I was at a Jewish bakery & they refused to make me a cake with a cross on it, I'd simply go to another bakery. Not the LGBT bunch. They'll sue you. Before anyone ask, I only "know" one homosexual, a young man that graduated with my daughter. I've always liked him, and yes we all sin. I wouldn't object to a homosexual preacher or priest if they were celibate. I'm at a loss how a church could condone it if that preacher or priest was actively engaged in homosexual activity. Born that way? I think some are, and some make a choice. From a Christian standpoint, still sinning. But I can't throw a stone. If I did, it'd be at the Fed Govt. -
Lol bd, I see you drew a line in the sand, like most of us, and the left has trampled all over it. I'm about the same way. As sn said about you (and fit me as well), I'm all them "phobes" as well. Not sure about the xenophobe though - I thot that was a wood reed instrument

Even though the other parent doesn't work at the school, institutions/companies still have ways to make life miserable for the one who does work. One thing I learned after working 50 years, most (not all) bosses hate for anyone to rock the boat & create ripples in their pond. Another possibility is that the parents may have been afraid their child was getting out of control, essentially fearing "he was becoming a ticking time bomb". Maybe hanging with a bad group. My wife & I were always concerned about how things had changed, and the "new" problems in school, & that was in the 80's. Parents today face concerns I can't imagine. Yes, the teacher was wrong, but if I found out my son initiated this and was Way out of line, I'd be more concerned with getting my son back on the right track than what that teacher did. If that's the case, my prayers go out to them. Molding a good, responsible adult is a parents most important job. I regret this incident happened for All involved.

Since "they" are a legally protected people (that classification in itself seems discriminatory to me towards anyone not in these groups) I see the legal problem. But since religious are also in that class, do you think that would be used in the States defense? Based on current political climate, I doubt it'll make any difference. What sets this group apart is their "in your face" attitude. I do totally agree with you on States deciding social issues. My last comment is just a personal one. Since more small businesses fail than succeed, I admire the folks that take that big gamble and make it. Then to have them be told they Have to go against their religious beliefs by the Govt, just isn't right. I'm sure pedofiles (sp) will someday enter this legal classification also. And yes, oh the irony... -

I see your point on the majority supporting. And since I haven't read the law itself, and probably wouldn't understand it if I did, I can't speak to legality, only the "intent" as seen by those that think there has to be a line to protect religious beliefs/convictions somewhere. As much as I dislike the Muslim religion, I would not go into a restaurant owned by a Muslim and order bacon, simply out of respect for the owners belief. Is there a legal "border" that can be drawn to protect both sides? Does a small business owner have any legitimate reason to refuse anyone (exception being a bar having to refuse a drunk a drink) - the old, no shirt, shoes/service just wishful thinking? BTW, as you know, my questions above are legitimate, not used to make a point. My Matlock shows didn't cover this area -
Nor did I PF10. I wasn't even aware a parent could still legally spank their child. Wore out several belts on my son lol. Had to laugh when folks would say, you sure are lucky to have such a well mannered children. Yes, lucky. They come right out of the womb saying yessir, yes mam, and thank you haha. IMO most children, boys especially, need spankings to learn life's lessons, but Not just spankings, you need to make sure your child knows you love him and/or her. Always told'em I loved them, and hugged them. Sure wasn't a perfect a Dad, but I'm proud of how they turned out. Now, my G'kids, they're perfect (and you'd have to be a grandparent to know what I mean ). And infinitely smarter than their parents LOL.
