In nr's defence, all of his previous post appeared to have been "bait", or just to agitate. Unsubstantiated accusations with a few chosen (?) misspelled or misused words (I do that but I'm senile). "Bait" to upset the mostly conservative posters, or accusations just to get a lively discussion going. This post actually has a few things many of us sadly agree with, at least in part. I'm not a historian, but my understanding of what the F.Fathers expected was elected officials who became so, with the intentions of making and keeping our country great. As nr pointed out, with all the perks they've given themselves, plus the inside info they can obtain, it's turned into a road to personal, eternal wealth. And I'd personally love to know how many folks ran for president simply to make our country better. Then again, maybe I wouldn't.

I suspect you're right, but for a country that once never had the sun set on it's flag, playing second fiddle to the EU is bound to upset a lot of Brits.

Had to chuckle at that Hoops because it's probably true now. A month ago, if I wanted to go out to an enjoyable dinner with any candidate, I'd picked Dr. Carson. Bernie, although imo a political idiot, at least is perceived by most of us as honest. Jimmy Carter is another example. Honest, and great personality, but bad president. Likability and a good President is a rare combination. In my lifetime (& again imo) only Reagan combines both. I'm sure for Dems Bill Clinton would.

The EPA is a prime example of many Govt. agencies. Unfortunately, due to no regulations (or very little) there was to much pollution. A big problem. Congress created the EPA to set things right. For many years they got bigger & did their job. Regulations were enacted and everything got better. At this point, if owned by a business, they'd been scale down to a small unit to ensure things stayed that way, but not a Govt agency. They all want to expand & thus show how "needed" they are. So they "invent problems" and create more Regulations to show how important they are. This has gotten so bad, they're infringing on the rights of the citizens. And now we have A big problem.

That's funny nr. Compared to Hillary, Carly is a rocket scientist. And you want to know who the biggest loser is? That would be the working people of America if Hillary wins.

I'm referring to jobs with decent pay. The WPA & TVA built dams and many big beautiful buildings still in use today. I'll just throw out numbers here for an example. Why give an able person, say $1500 a month of welfare when you could put that person to work for $4000 a month, building needed projects, plus the added benefit of learning a trade and building self esteem. It wouldn't cover everyone. There are some that couldn't do it for physical or mental reasons. But most could. And despite what the DNC says, I don't know one single Republican who would want to take welfare from those that need it.

It may be "C", essentially Dems voting on Trump to ensure discord in the Republican Party. With that said, I actually think it's "A". I'd hope that, like a lot of Republicans, many Dems are tired of what's going on in Washington, and like the tough talk and disregard of the PC police that Trump displays. I'm probably wrong, but I'm hopeful.
