I’ve mentioned this before but it’s worth repeating, our political offices were primarily designed to help the country (State/County/City) even though holding one might be a sacrifice to the holder. Imo, the vast majority of politicians today are in it for their own benefit. To improve their own financial situation, or a stepping stone to a better position, with little regard for the country (State/County/City). And with the Founding Fathers watchdog of our Republic, the Media, turned into biased propaganda machines for whichever ideology they choose, the whole system has run amuck. How long our Republic can survive this topsy turvy situation remains to be seen.

I know one thing, Occupy Democrats is a special kind of stupid. This Administration, and liberals in general, live in a fantasy world where fervently believing something to be true will make it so. Well folks, it just ain’t so.

Btw, since the end of WW-II the American people have not had to sacrifice during our wars. If we get involved in this conflict we will almost assuredly end up suffering via cyber attacks. We’ve repeatedly been told how susceptible our electrical grids are to cyber attack. I could see us going months without electricity. Not only hot in the summer, but no fresh food and no way to get gas, and no telling what else. Things will get dicey. We’ll not only be at war with Russia, but with each other for food & water. Am I reading to much into this? I sincerely pray I am.

While Americans have been busy hating on each other, by race, by political affiliation, by vaccines, by anything we can find to hate each other for, Russias been preparing for war. While we’ve been weakening our military with vaccine mandates and insane wokeism, Russia has been building up theirs. While we’ve been trying to decide what gender we are, Russians are confident about who are men and who are women. While we’re taking steps to reduce oil production, Russia is pumping it out of the ground as fast as possible. So what happens if we get in a conventional war with Russia? Twenty years ago, I believe we’d crushed them, but now all bets are off. America has been on a course of self-destruction, a war with Russia might just expedite that endeavor.

Yep, we’ve got Americans voting that don’t know what gender they are. Putin knows how messed up we are, allowing wokeism to dictate policy. And now is the perfect time for Russia and China to expand their power & influence, for there’s no one to stop them. And with Biden stifling our oil industry, the price of that oil will skyrocket. Wouldn’t be surprised to see &5 a gallon gas here in SETX.

After going in the Army I was confronted with our (mis)pronunciation of words. Initially it was the State of Illinois, which we pronounced Illinoise. Guys from there corrected me, it’s Illinoi, the “S” is silent. Okay, I got it, but that opened my eyes/ears to others. In Texas we slaughter many words - pantys is pannies - dental is dennal - pillow is piller, I could go on but you get the idea. Others slaughter some words too. Some in Pennsylvania say radiator. It’s the way it’s spelled, but not pronounced, it’s pronounced rediator. I jumped on them - using radio (radio) not radio. Then some yahoos call creek - crick. Again I’m on them - you dumbkoff, you get a crick in your neck, it’s creek. We banter back & forth. A buddy from SD, gigged my using y’all & yonder, and would you believe, before I got out, I heard him using them. One I hear most mispronouncing on TV is “for”, saying “fer”. One thing about TV, it’s bringing our pronunciation of words together. I bow to local pronunciation of local words, like Illinois, but after 76 years, I’m not worried if I pronounce something “my way”, right or wrong. I’ve no idea about the two new teams Vidor has scheduled, but of the other 3, Santa Fe is a step up to 5A, and Silsbee & Brazosport both made the playoffs last year, so it’s not quite the cup cake some think.
