My SIL bought the DVD for Mad Max Fury Road. It's up for 9 or 10 A.Awards, including best picture. It's a freaking B movie. What a joke. Last time I went to the movies I saw a good one. Took G'son to see Kung Fu Panda. Infinitely better than Mad Max.

The Big Sandy boys (and Evadale girls somewhat) are in the enviable position of having a real good 2A Basketball team. BS, probably the best in the State. Unfortunately, too few schools in their District seem to put much emphasis on basketball (girls or boys). Evadale will visit them Tuesday. I hope the Rebs play at the top of their game and force the BS starters to play hard. They need a little competition, and as good as they are, in 2A, that's tough. Go Rebs!

For example, in the recent decree by our POTUS on gun control, there was one stipulation directed at Social Security recipients. A small, minor thing. The problem is, what will it be next time? Little here, little there. Think of freedom as a big rock. Each time they chip a small piece off, it gets smaller, but it's such a small piece you'll never notice. Make no mistake, if it continues , eventually that rock will be gone, and the shackles of slavery will be complete.
