Just funnin’. Btw, doesn’t Georgia Tech run it? I think they did but not sure if they still do.

Funny how I’ll be sitting here with the TV on and sometimes an old story pops. This was back in the late 70’s. My wife was fixing supper but needed a couple of things from the store. We lived close to Woods Supermarket in Vidor so my daughter & I drove down there. As we were going down one aisle, there was another father/daughter close to us. Based on their conversation, mother was absent (sick? Trip?). The daughter appeared to be about 13 or 14, and father was about 6’6” and 280 pounds. She said, “Here’s cereal Dad, I could make you cereal for breakfast”. His first response was a deep, slow laugh, and he said in a deep slow voice, “Honey, I couldn’t make it out to the truck in the morning on a bowl of cereal”. We held our laughter until we got over an aisle, but I felt I’d just witnessed a priceless memory for them.

After decades of abysmal football Coaches/Teams, setting a record for consecutive losses, and being the but(t) of jokes (Interstate 10 Vidor 0), you might see a reason that some Pirate fans have became somewhat obnoxious/defensive now that the program is fairly successful. You might look at your own post. You didn’t say some fans are goofy & delusional, you lumped all Pirate fans in there. It’s obvious that there’s room for improvement by most of us.

I can’t wait to see how the Slot T works at Baylor. 😂😂😂😂😂🤣👽🤣😂😂😂😂😂

Agreed, big advantage, and the main reason this old, fat, HBP, dude has gotten both vaccines & the booster. Were I in my 50’s, I doubt I would have.
-
The only advantage that I see for getting vaccinated is it appears to decrease the severity of Covid if you catch it. Based on the information out there, it does not keep you from catching it, transmitting it to others, or negate the effects of Kryton on Superman. And, as Dr. Paul points out, I doubt it’s overall effects are as good as someone who’s had Covid and has gotten over it.

I’m reminded of a co-worker who was telling us that while in the Army, during basic training, he’d shot himself in the foot. After an abundance of laughter, I ask him how he’d done it. By this time he was getting defensive, and angrily ask, “What the heck you mean how did I do it”? I said, “Well did you you just get lucky are did you aim”. Now the laughter really busted out. Even he joined in. 😂😂😂

Being a massive meat eater, primarily beef, saying all that would make me hungry. And your suggestion is timely. I rarely have hiccups but a few days back I had a dozy - loud ones and they lasted a good while. Now I have cow in my arsenal. 😂🤣😂

This is an interesting topic, the power of our brains, that I wish we knew more about. Most of it seems untapped. For instance, I’m sure most of you have seen where they’ve done a drug test where half the participants are given placebos. Usually quite a few of the group taking the placebo will record reactions from them - headache, sick stomach, trouble sleeping, feel better, pain is gone, sleep better. And some with an ailment may actually improve, even with the placebo. Seems to me the brain is making our body do things that we can’t ordinarily make it do. I remember this vividly from my teenage years. My Dad worked at the Shipyard in Beaumont for Bethlehem Steel. He was a foreman (I think the title was Quarterman). In those days they built big offshore drilling rigs there. He had to do a lot of climbing and Dad was in his 50’s. He’d often wake up at night with a charley horse. My Mom was old school & maybe the most superstitious person I’ve ever known. She also knew a few ridiculous cures. She kept telling my Dad, “Tie 13 knots on a string & tie it around your ankle & it’ll stop those cramps. My Dad, being very pragmatic, would laugh it off. Finally, tired of listening to Mom, and tired of waking up dancing with Charley, he told her to tie the string. Yep, no more charley horses. My Dad told me, “I know there’s nothing to that string bs, but however it works it’s stopped them durn cramps”. For him, it was a love/hate deal, lol. I’ve no doubt we have more power in our brains than we know how to use. Maybe someday……..

New Manhattan DA to drop sex crimes, armed robbery, etc., to misdemeanors
Hagar replied to tvc184's topic in Political Forum
Okay, so a few Liberal Loons get this Defund the Police started. Most have no idea how bad the repercussions are, so fine. Now with crime soaring, especially homicides, anyone with at least a double digit IQ can see the Defunding isn’t working. O K A Y, let’s stop for a moment. Take a deep breath because here’s where they lose me. If the Defunding isn’t working it means we need to fund more Police and get tougher on crime, B U T what do liberals do - double down - we won’t prosecute the criminals. Is there a word that means ‘more idiot’ (idioter?). These Democrats are giving humanity a bad name. Where did this DA get his degree? New York Institute for the Incredibly Stupid? Since I’m on a roll, I’ve got an analogy for this Defund/don’t prosecute. There’s this aluminum boat. Somehow it’s taking on water. The Captain, a Democrat says, “I know what we’ll do - drill a half inch hole in the bottom of the boat to let the water drain. Done! Oh hell, more waters coming in. The Captain says, “Drill more holes but make them one inch so the water will drain faster”. So the question is, do people devoid of common sense become Democrats, or when you become a Democrat do they suck the common sense right out of you? -
And while walking down memory lane, I came across this. Bob Lilly #74 sacks Bob Griese for a 29 yard loss in Super Bowl VI. Still a SB record.

The best I ever saw at running the halfback option pass. As a RB Reeves didn’t have blazing speed, but if you ever get a chance to watch films of him, watch the way he follows his blockers. Again, one of the best. On a sweep, he’d slow down to let that great OL (Dave Manders, Rayfield Wright, Blaine Nye) mow down the defense. After “the grass was cut”, Reeves would cut up field, turn on the speed he had, and usually end up with a good gain - and me, glued to the TV, watching my favorite Cowboy QB, Roger Staubach. 😄📺😄 RIP DAN Reeves ✝️✝️✝️

Seriously PAMFAM, if they said “this life saving medicine is only for hispanics”, wouldn’t you wonder what in the cornbread hell is going on? In theory, the meds should be for Americans, so tell me why the Democrats are constantly dividing the races?

A Democratic Senator stranded in a snowstorm (Global Warming?) and left out there with thousands of others without any aid by a Democratic Governor - God help me I do love it so…. If you don’t see a little poetic Justice there, you just ain’t looking. 😂😂😂😂😂
-
Folks stuck on ice filled I-95 for 12-14 hours. Did the State or the Democratic Governor do anything? Nope. [Hidden Content] On a side note: Many folks stayed alive by running their gasoline powered engines for warmth. So I ask you dear readers, what will happen when the government forces everyone to have electric cars? Can you imagine 10,000 people dying of exposure to combat naturally occurring climate change? The government really needs to do a study of the potential impact these Mattel hot wheels will have.

S&P 500 Hits All-Time High On Biden Inauguration Day
Hagar replied to InMAGAWeTrust's topic in Political Forum
I’ll admit one thing, I see no logical reason the Market is doing well, so I’m glad I’m not a Market Analyst, I’d get fired. It’s fascinating. -
Agree!

Ten Joebama 2021 Blunders That Killed The American Energy Renaissance!
Hagar replied to Reagan's topic in Political Forum
The real question, and I’m serious here, are Biden and his handlers just incompetent buffoons or are they destroying this country intentionally? I’m inclined to think the latter. -
It’s not looking good. Sad to see a country, built & secured on the blood of brave men & women, destroyed by a senile old man manipulated by a bunch of Communist. The saddest part of it all, so many vote/support on these same Goober Headed Loons.
-
Every time there’s a new high or low, a tornado or severe storms, these lunatics start hollering GW. As if there hasn’t always been severe storms, highs & lows. The dust bowl of the 30’s was a major weather event, eclipsing anything we have now. If we were to have that happen now, these goober headed morons would be running around saying the sky is falling.

JoeBama and the Democrats' Colossal Failures Set Up a 2022 Reckoning!
Hagar replied to Reagan's topic in Political Forum
I don’t trust anyone who’s a Democrat. 😄😂😄 -
Well, in fairness this is a State edict, although Biden wouldn’t hesitate to do the same thing. I am fascinated that Dr King wanted a color blind society, and the Democrats use skin color constantly.
-
Hope 2022 is a great year for all of us!

Appears the State of New York is low on critical medicine. What’s their solution? Simple, they’ll only give it to people of color. 😡🤬😡 [Hidden Content] So the question I have for all of you - Do edicts like this bring the races closer together, or are they divisive? I eagerly await your responses.
