I’m at a loss here so I’m reaching out to y’all for answers. I just saw on the News that people are standing in line for four hours to get tested for Covid. Will someone please tell me why. If I’m sick I’d go to a Dr. If I’m fine I have no reason to get tested. Why in the cornbread hail would people wait in line for 4 hours to get tested? What am I missing? One person claimed they needed it to travel to Italy. Okay, that’s one possible legitimate reason, but I can’t believe that many are going overseas. Okay, show me how stupid I am. Explain it to me. Interesting about no reporters, but confirms what we see repeatedly on todays news media. Reporters today set at their computers and write their stories. The Nick Sandmann fiasco is a prime example. Just a cursory inquiry would have exposed most of the truth but the truth was not nearly as newsworthy (for their audience) as the fictitious account they reported. Subsequently several of those news outlets have made Nick a rich young man. I expect the same for Kyle Rittenhouse. Even after the trial confirmed he got the gun from his father, who lives there, several news medias still reported he carried the rifle across state lines. Essentially the “news” is often not news but simply spin a person with a journalist degree puts out to his/her gullible readers. Like all of you, I’d love to know the real story above. If the guy was stealing I hope the kid goes free.

West Orange Stark job open/HICKMAN APPROVED
Hagar replied to aTmfan06's topic in High School Football
Whoever comes is walking into a pressure cooker. It’s not like taking over at LCM, 1-7 no where to go but up. This is a perennial state powerhouse. Nothing less than three games into the playoffs will be considered a success. My only words of wisdom, Good Luck! -

Just watched the SOC vs LH game. Biggest impression was the LH defense. They held SOC to lowest points all year. Other take aways. QB for SOC is very impressive. #17 on the LH Defensive line should play at the next level. #10 for LH a good athlete, already committed to West Point. No telling how many tackles #6 for SOC had. Wow. LH runs the Slot T well, but like Vidor, they need to be able to pass. I can’t imagine how dominant SOC would be running the Slot T. Good speed at RB & a QB that can pass. Slot T teams need about 6 good passing plays to be used sparingly. Pleasant Grove pulled it off in 2019. Personally I like the offense. The options are unlimited, but you need the option to pass. Thought this was one of the better SC games this year. -
As my feeble brains remembers things, I have to pass them along before it hits delete. This was a humorous situation. As I remember, my daughter was about 13 or 14 in her first or second year of Jr High. At the age when you had to wear “the in thing”. In this period it was Guess jeans, which were relatively expensive. We could get 2 or 3 regular jeans for the cost of the Guess. My daughter was insisting she had to have a pair. Like most families in that stage of life, money was a never ending struggle. She confronted me, hands on hips. All 5’ of her with “that look” on her face, saying, “Dad, I’ve got to have a pair of those jeans”. I stared down at her, wishing we had the money to get her a pair without worrying about how we’d pay the electric bill and said, “I’m sorry baby but I don’t make enough money that we can afford them”. She paused, just a moment. Just long enough for me to think I’d made my point - end of crisis. Then, with that look on her face that all females possess (an evolutionary trait?), she said, “Well get another job”! Each word pronounced loudly, with a pause between each. First came shock, followed by a burst of laughter. It’s one of those priceless moments I’ll take to the grave. Four years later, her brother went into the Marines, we could afford to get her those jeans. He was an eating machine. As a Soph, he had an eating contest between him and a Senior on the football team, who was 6’5” & weighed 260. My son made him holler uncle (he takes after his mother, lol).

No horse in this race, and probably not aware of all the facts. The ones I am knowledgeable about has this outsider scratching his head in bewilderment. There should be some very good reason this is even something on the table. I hope that’s the case rather than just a political “assassination”. Hope the good folks of Port Neches and Groves find out the truth.

Time to break out “Oh Happy Day” again. I do love it so. NBC hit that bank account for an undisclosed amount. A Law School professor estimates it’s at least seven figures. Where’s my cartwheel emoji? [Hidden Content]

Employee shoots fleeing thief…..charged with Murder - TEXAS
Hagar replied to thetragichippy's topic in The Locker Room
Mass shootings are another animal, and honestly not the sort of crime I was referring too. I was referring to, as you said, with extreme frustration with the amount of stupidity and crime happening. Smash & grab by gangs. Elderly women & men (Asian & others) sucker punched in the street. The inevitable person pulled over that wants to resist, not only any possible arrest, but simple instructions given by the officer. I could go on ad nauseum, but I think you know the rest. No respect for the police or authority of any kind. No manners. No regard for acting civilized. Our streets, cities and country are literally being turned into third world cesspools. And yes tvc, I do break into “another one bites the dust”. Perhaps a sinful thought, but that’s on me. -

Great that there was finally a SC game that turned out like they should. Imo, to many are played in the earlier rounds and the SC ends up being a lopsided affair. Cest la vie. -
Employee shoots fleeing thief…..charged with Murder - TEXAS
Hagar replied to thetragichippy's topic in The Locker Room
Oh, I understand what your saying, but we’ve made the line so far the other way, the bad guys have got a big advantage. If a policeman says stop or I’ll shoot, do they stop? No. Why? Because the police can’t shoot. For example, someone steals a car. Say it’s a $35,000 vehicle. Drives it & damages it and other vehicles. Endangers others on the road. Finally gets pulled over & gets out and runs. Should the police shoot? Imo, definitely, but again, they’re not allowed to. The deal,is, there wouldn’t be mass killings or shootings. After one or two, this 💩 would stop. We’ve gotten more concerned about the criminal than the victim. Sorry we don’t see eye to eye on this, but I’m old school and tired of criminals having freedom to do what they do. Tired of them making the rest of us scared to let our wives go to the mall alone. Tired of being concerned about driving in some areas of town at night. Tired of judges turning criminals loose. Tired of worrying about leaving my home at night concerned that some drug addict will break in. Maybe shooting shoplifters isn’t the answer, but we need something drastic. Jmo -

Some might say, justifiable homicide, but I guess we’re in the minority. Still, it would stop the smash & grabs. -
Just watched my oldest G’daughter walk across the stage with her Masters Degree. Not a bad legacy for someone who had to brownose his HS English teacher 🥴. Proud of her. Wasn’t a gift. She worked full time while getting this. At my age and health, not many special days left but wanted to share this one with y’all. Got my oldest G’son coming home on leave from the Marines tomorrow. Be glad to see him. Setting up to be a good Christmas.

Yep, no way to post what happened there and have the same effect as seeing it. A prime example for LBJ saying, it’s not our night. -

Sv LB’s have stopped LBJ’s stud RB. He’s probably got 20 yards on 15 carries. Whole Sv defense is impressive. LBJ is very explosive. Even though Sv is up 24-7, they better not sleep on it. LBJ can score in a flash. -

Good drive but getting stuffed down there is a back breaker. It’ll take a big break to get LBJ back in this. -
