There was talk from District 9 folks of a sweep. I felt the Bears would win & Vidor was 50-50. And although Ltown & Huffman didn’t win, they kept it pretty close for much of the game. I thought Dist 10 teams represented well. Again, easily the best four we’ve sent forward in maybe forever. And next year should be even better. Two teams with new Coaches, Ltown & LCM. Ltown young. Vidor with two undefeated JV teams. Huffman always competitive. I’ll say right now, those four will be in the playoffs next year. Sweep? How about a Dist 10 sweep in the 2022 season.

Not sure I’ve ever seen better in a Pirate Uniform. At least not in a long, long time. On the plus side, we have two undefeated JV teams. Should be some durn good Pirate football next year.

Hats off for a great season. How sad for it to end like that. I know one thing, Jordan Smith played one heckuva game. He will be missed. I hope some young player uses him as a role model and spends next summer in the gym.

I bid the Raider team and all their fans the best tonight. I was at the Ltown vs LaMarque game some years back in Mount Belvieu. I don’t think the Raiders were suppose to win that one, but they did. Go Raiders!

Boneyard is unique. He’s the Walter Winchell of HS football. He has the rare combination of knowledge of the game, and the fastest thumbs in the Golden Triangle. How he does it is a mystery, much like how did the Egyptians build the pyramids.

Song puts chill bumps on my arms. Kudos to Charles Smith for an absolutely great rendition of this piece of music.
