Tyler Chapel Hill vs. Vidor (Bi-District)
Hagar replied to piratevillain's topic in High School Football
It’s Friday! Go Pirates! -
Congrats to the Cougars. No doubt some JV players got some playing time. How exciting that must be for those young men. Keep rolling Cougs. One game at a time.

No. They seen something similar, but with a lot more option plays. Pirates rarely, if ever, option. -

Lol, that’s close to my response. 5 yards, then 4 yards, then 6 yards, and repeat. 😄👍😄 -

Here’s my take. If Vidor can get up early, I think it’ll lead to victory. On the other hand, if CH gets up early, it’ll be very difficult for Vidor to come back. The more mental/physical pressure we can put on their young QB, the better. Under pressure, he’ll be their weak link. Btw, Mabank fan posted we didn’t have any speed, and their speed will get them in our backfield. I told him our OL blocks better than Mabanks. -
Thanks to all of you. I served in the Army, but I’m proud of my son who was (is-once a Marine always a Marine) a Marine, and my G’son who’s now serving in The Corp. Goodday to all my fellow vets.

Here’s my two cents worth. The ACLU is pushing this. It’s so ridiculous I can’t even begin to comprehend. Big question, why is the Biden Administration even contemplating this absurdity? Answer - because they’re blaming it on Trump. It’s all Trumps fault. They want to pay an obscene amount and blame it all on Trump. Good grief.

6-4 & 2-4. Amazingly they beat Palestine, and lost Friday to Athens (the Splendora of Dist 9). -

If you watched the CH vs Mabank video, on the sweeps the WR had the corners locked up. Just find it hard to believe the wide outs consistently held their blocks for that long. Cornerbacks weren’t able to stop/slowdown the RBs. -

If the Pirates looked like an easy win, or a sure loss, I could find humor, but with the CH matchup, ain’t nothing funny. I’m sure Lil Tex would understand. 🤪🙏🙄😜😨😰👽 -

I liked the guy that said CH loses their composure. I think the Pirates can help with that, lol. Had a Lindale fan post: “The Vidor offense makes the other team offense say, wait, we’re only getting the ball 5 or 6 times, we have to do something. Then mistakes start to happen. Easily the fastest half of football I’ve ever seen was the first half of the Vidor game last year. We were all saying, Wow, it’s halftime. We’d only had 3 possessions. Vidor ate up 9-10 minutes on one TD drive. It was crazy. Makes the other team start to press.” Hope it has that effect on CH. -
I certainly couldn’t go no deeper. 😂😂

Uncle, I give up. 😂🤣😂 But enjoyed.

Either their WR’s are the best blockers ever or they get away with holding a lot on those sweeps. -

Here’s some CH highlights of the Mabank game. CH fan ask if offenses were similar. Told him two big differences - first, we stop the snap to the defensive lineman (if you watch you’ll see what I mean, lol) and second, our OL actually blocks. Usually on these plays, Mabank’s has 7 guys pass the line of scrimmage, and CH has 7 DL tackling the RB for a lost. [Hidden Content] -

Sideline to Sideline show, both pick Vidor. Strange pick, one of them picks Huffman over Kilgore. Go Falcons! -

Absolutely. Ltown was very familiar but still couldn’t stop it. I’m betting their D is undisciplined. If so, give Vidor the edge. -

Guy posted CH loses composure. If Vidor can start with a long scoring drive, then have the D pop’em in the mouth, that’d be the ticket. Btw, new QB is a Freshman. -

Had a Kilgore fan tell me most Vidor fans will be shocked when CH takes the field. Said they have a bunch of big kids & they wear big pads. Said they look like a Junior College team. Made Kilgore look small. The intimidation factor. Evidently they had a QB of questionable talent and enthusiasm. After the 3 District losses they brought up their current QB. Haven’t lost since. Vidor needs to get on top of these folks in a hurry. I suspect they may fold under pressure. Problem is, getting them there. -
I had a ranch stocked with Tyrannosaurus Rexs, where Montana is today. You’ve never roped nothing until you wrangle a Rex. And when it’s breeding season…..…get outta here. No place for a man or any other beast. Had a few head of mammoths on the south fork. Used to have a bunch but the Rexes went on a feeding frenzy. Them beast could break an all you can eat buffet. 😂🤣😂

As Unwoke pointed out, almost all the injuries at RB. Much of 2nd half against HH Vidor had two 3rd string RB’s. They gave it their all, but still…. When you run the Slot T, you have to have good RB’s. It’s comparable to a spread team having to use the 3rd string QB & Receiver. But give the young men good, they still managed to come back against Ltown. Whether they’ll be able to pull it off against CH is now the question. Vidor’s biggest advantage could be that the CH D is undisciplined. If so, the Pirates can take advantage of that. And speaking of depth, I heard CH rotates their DL. Must be nice to have that many quality DLs. Also, Mabank (also in Dist 9) runs a similar offense to Vidors. CH beat them 50-22, but I don’t think they actually run the Slot T. MaxPreps has no video highlights on them, so it’s a mystery. I think CH is going to be a very tough win.
