  1. Didn’t say unstoppable, I said almost unstoppable. WOS could probably stop it. Carthage could. A lot of teams, just referring to the fact it’s not as easy to stop as most think. It’s a killer if you get way behind. Ordinarily it’s not going to put big numbers up, although it did when Montana was there, but guys like him are few.
  2. Makes sense.
  3. Folks call the Slot T outdated and to hear them talk, easy to stop. The thing is, you’ve got four people to watch. Pretty good bet one of them will find an opening. Combine that with some good blocking and it’s very effective. If we’d throw in an occasional complete pass, almost unstoppable.
  4. We’ll said bulldawg64, and spot on. Polls are nothing but a conversation piece. Still, a little irritating. Bottom line, the most important thing for Vidor right now is concentrating on beating Livingston. Everything else is irrelevant.
  5. This irritates me somewhat. There are four undefeated teams in the State in 4A-D1 football. Here they are with DC rankings. #1 Austin LBJ #2 Stephenville #7 Kaufman ** Vidor - the Rodney Dangerfield of Texas football. Keep on winning Pirates and stuff their rankings where the sun don’t shine.
  6. Certainly no more difficult than getting District MVP. The downside is teams are double & triple teaming him so much, his stats aren’t that significant. What is significant is the number of sacks and TFL our two DE are getting, essentially because so many are blocking (and often holding) Jordan. No doubt he dominates.
  7. Or put him at Fullback. I remember watching the Refrigerator (William Perry of the Chicago Bears) running a few times. He was hard to bring down, lol. I’d bet Jordan would be a handful. Vidor’s right side is their “go to” side on short yardage. Putting him as tight end would guarantee a hole. 😄😄😇😄😄
  8. There were 44 Pickums. Only 5 picked Ltown and 11 picked Vidor. Neither one gets any respect. How fitting would it be for the final regular season game between Ltown & Vidor to be for the District Championship? It’s a real possibility. Good luck Raiders.
  9. Keeping them focused is the big thing. Livingston seems to have gotten their mojo back based on the big win last night. They beat Splendora a lot worse than Vidor did. Hope the Pirates don’t overlook them and get distracted by the HC hoopla and reading about how good they are in the papers. They’re in a position only one Vidor team in the schools history has been in. One stumble will ruin their chance at an undefeated, and perhaps a historic season.
  10. Great job Rebels. It ain’t easy beating the four (or is it two or three?) horsemen. 😂😂🤣😂😂 Not only a good win but y’all are having a good season. Keep on grinding.
  11. On the other hand, if not for a couple of dropped passes, game may have been closer. Very impressed with the Bears turnaround. I think Peevey will make them a contender every year in the future. I’m excited about our District playoff chances. Would love to see at least three teams pull off a win in the first round. A realistic possibility.
  12. Looks like Kilgore & Lindale will battle for DC, but like our District they have parity with all but Athens (like Splendora here). Third and fourth will be between Palestine, Mabank, Henderson and Chapel Hill.
  13. Surprisingly only two that I remember. He’s PV’s nephew so he can update. For a NG to get MVP of a District as a Junior is very rare. I’m surprised many schools aren’t after him. Maybe because of his height (6’1”)?
  14. Ool, but liked it. I’ll be checking out 9-4A-D1 shortly and give you a best guess.
  15. Amen! I’ve been preaching about this District. Lot of teams playing a lot of good ball this year.
  16. 14 pages for one game. MCM, the benchmark for interest, only had 10. Crazy Pirate & Bear fans.
  17. Maybe but I thought he was more handsome than Pitt. Plus he could do the Triple Lindy.
  18. Should be, but like the actor that played you, we git no respect. 😂
  19. Btw, announcers on KOGT said Vidor one of only 4 (or 5) undefeated 4A-D1 teams in State.
  20. Thanks for the great post BB. Riding your talent to the playoffs.
  21. As usual, Vidor owns the fourth quarter.
  22. Ltown up 24-9. Little over 6 min left.
