  1. I know one thing; the man has a pretty sweet flattop.
  2. Paul Wall the people's champ?
  3. Yessir I agree with you for sure! Indoors definitely don't guarantee a state champ team, or a winning season for that matter. I'm just doing everything I can to figure out why we here in setx are so far behind the 8 ball when it comes to facilities. Our kids deserve the best too(as far as I'm concerned.) I know everyone will say money, but I just don't see how Carthage can have that much more $ than our schools; maybe I'm just delusional.
  4. Man you are the man!!! I had respect for you, but now I've got mad respect for you! Nicely done bro; and hey I'm definitely with you on the practicing and hard work part...but you have to admit that being able to get outta that heat 1 day a week in September is probably pretty cozy!
  5. We can go ahead and call WOS an exception to the rule, considering they're the only setx team that's peed a drop in the past 10 years; those 3 indoor facilities in this area are barely big enough for my little girl to play with her dollhouse in. I encourage you to Google the facilities of the teams that were at AT&T(class 4A and up) this past year; not just indoors, but weight rooms, alternate turf fields, etc.
  6. Which in 8 cases out of 10 are the ones that usually have all the bells and whistles
  7. Hypothetical...You're moving into an area with a son(s) that are good athletes. Neighboring high school A has terribly outdated facilities, and haven't gotten new uniforms in 6 years. Neighboring high school B has a 100 yard indoor, 3 turf practice fields, 5 sets of uniforms, and a state of the art weightroom. Which district are you're sons(who are good athletes) going to want to attend?
  8. It's all about priorities. If football is important, schools will build em. But I do have a feeling that there's going to be a chain reaction in setx like there has been in DFW and East Texas; after a few schools get them, a bunch of other schools will follow suit.
  9. Better question....what's taking schools down here so long to get them??
  10. 246,000 this year at AT&T compared to 162,000 last year at NRG
  11. Keep hoping brother! It's at AT&T to stay
  12. I have zero affiliation with WOS, but after seeing the coach and players interviewed after game, I absolutely love this team; they're what HS football is all about
  13. Haha! Man I'd bet all of what little money I have on WOS if I could find someone to take that action
  14. I would have WOS a 28 point favorite as I used to run numbers back in college days
  15. Gunter is without a doubt the most well coached team in 3A. That was a clinic
  16. Gunter was favored by 8. Canadian was a lot better than Boling
  17. So is he owed the rest of his contract? How does that work? Think he took a payout?
  18. Along with incredible facilities, the majority of the aforementioned schools have players that are extremely coachable, well coached, disciplined, and have very high IQ's; those same players are all fortunate enough to get to eat 3 square meals a day, with the majority of them coming from families where the income is well over $150,000. Anybody that thinks those things aren't very important is kidding themselves.
  19. Same can be said for Gunter
  20. Great teams find a way to win(they've been doing it for a long, long time now)
