Here’s my final post on the topic. Alex is no doubt a talented player, and single handily kept Buna competitive this season. He was no doubt the most valuable player, for his team. But if I were to draft a team from the kids in this district Third and Kordell would no doubt be my first picks. If Third is not a freshman, he would have been the MVP and not just the newcomer of the year. Either way these are high school kids, and they are both very talented player who deserve the honors they were given. I just feel Third was the best player of the district, and I feel anyone who watched him play will agree. I’m just excited to get to watch him for the next 3 years. He is a special player. And anyone who knows me knows how much of a fan I am of the Connell brothers. They both were/are great players, nothing but respect for them.

Was he All-State?? Ernest Ceasar was and he was BY FAR the best player in the district. Kordell was the second best player, and that is an unbiased assessment.

IMO, the biggest difference between the two squads is Memorial’s true post presence.

By the way, no one a following quite like them Titans! Those fans were in tune with the game, and were LOUD!!!

No doubt! Hated to see them lose the way they did. Hated it for Long, he’s a really good guy and a heck of a coach.

Tompkins had control the entire game. Even when they were down it felt like they were going to win. It was a great game to watch. Was hard to watch Allen win. Our EC alum Grant Long and Guyer were much better than Allen, but it’s hard to beat a good team 3 times. Allen figured out they had to play stall ball and it worked.

Congrats Coach Coleman and PA, great season! All of SETX should be proud.

PA should beat Northwest, if they play like they are capable of playing. Northwest is a good team, and had a lot of different kids scoring. I feel like PA’s pressure will get them enough easy baskets to get pass them.
