Probably their worse shooting game of the year, but valid point. Once again I’m not saying EC would win. I’m just saying they gave the capability on a hot shooting night to play Silsbee within 20. Silsbee would no doubt control the game.

I don’t know about worse. I look at it like this, WOS gave Silsbee a great effort the first round. Yes, Silsbee gave it to WOS in round 2, but EC is better WOS. I’m not saying EC is in the same ball park as Silsbee, I’m saying EC has the ability to keep it competitive. Silsbee wins 10 out of 10 times they play, majority by 20+. EC’s lack of height is the biggest advantage for Silsbee.

Agreed. Matchup between Kountze-EC is very similar to EC-Silsbee.

My first time to see Hefner, the dude can play. He had 22pts, but he did a lot of good things with the ball and off ball. He will turn out to be a very good player. Also, hats off to Coach Smith and Vidor on a nice season. Know they wanted in the playoffs, but he has done an outstanding job there.

This game would not happen lol! Although I think EC would surprise people, think they would keep it to a 15-20 point game. But EC would not beat Silsbee.

Still taking EC, but think this game will be more of a battle. Kountze not having their post is going to be the difference. He was ver good defensively the first game. EC’s guards are probably still too much for Kountze.

If Silsbee would have played a weaker schedule last year, I personally don't think they would have won the title. Their experience from the beginning of the year, allowed them to beat a very good Argyle team.

68-60 is 'pretty handily'? I was at the game, Big Sandy did not shoot the ball well in San Antonio. That year and in '16. Nearly every team that plays in San Antonio struggles to shoot the three ball. So this example does not help your case. Also Canadian winning back-to-back state championships wasn't a fluke. Also their coach won three straight. Water Valley '14, Canadian '15-'16.
