Buna is not as good as they have been, but should still be better than Hardin.

Friday night is going to be two big matchups in the district race. Both Kountze and EC’s boys and girls are clearly the top two teams. They are all four undefeated in district play. The girls might be as good of a game as the boys game, possibly better. All four teams feature some of the best coaches in arguably the state. EC Lady Bucs’ Michalko has over 1,000 career wins, and Williams, Joubert, and Sutherland need no introduction. Going to be a fun night of basketball in Winnie!

EC should win this one. That being said, it’s never been easy for EC to beat Kountze. This team is a little different, they have an edge to them. IMO EC’s depth is the difference. They pull away in the 4th. EC needs to get the tempo of the game up.

You are correct. Basket should have counted, if the foul occurred after the ball went through the net completely.

Time should have been put back on the clock, unless there was something else factoring into the situation.

Was the whistle before or after the buzzer? Time should be placed back on the clock (usually 3 tenths of a seconds) and the free throw administered.

Very impressive win by the Titans

East Chambers played their final two games of the tournament without their starting point guard. And had several players get banged up last night. This team is playing some really good basketball. And still have not peaked. Also would like to congratulate freshman #12 Ernest (Third) Caesar on being named tournament MVP, and #21 Kordell David, #3 Rodkale Caesar for being named all tournament.

Great tournament for the Runnin’ Bucs! Some statement wins. Third tournament victory on the season!
