Angelina College will be clearing the gym after the WO/Newton game so if you attend this game be prepared to get back in line for the Kountze game

Boys 2A  Region 3 bracket just got a little tougher

Regional Semi Finals are now slated for March 1st at 6:15 pm and 8 pm. Regional Final will be played on March 2nd at 8 pm. Not sure why the change but I noticed it on the UIL Website...Years past the semis were on Friday at 3pm and 5pm and the Final would be on Saturday at Noon.

Congrats to the Lions on the win.  Grayland Arnold is a stud for a freshman... Ya'll are gonna be hard to beat.  A few of our kids did a decent job with the defensive pressure but as a group not so much....get some more of that pressure Jan 8th and Feb 1 vs Tatum.    Good luck to you guys the rest of the way.

This game could go either way.  Both squads are very deep and outstanding.  I know the coaches are more worried about winning in the post season than winning this one but it will be great for the fans.  Roughnecks have a tough stretch over the next 11 days with Kountze tonight then face a good  Waskom team  monday and then host # 5 Tatum in a district showdown on Jan 8th.  I am glad we are getting to play Kountze before district.  It will really prepare us for Tatum.  Wishing both teams good health tonight.

Roughnecks face Spring Hill tomorrow night at 7 for the Spring Hill Tourney championship

Who ever wins region 3 should do really well in Austin.  One of these teams will win the region in my opinion..WO, Kountze, Tatum, Jarrell or Franklin.  Regional tourney will be a hot ticket.

White Oak is better and deeper than last years state championship team...

White Oak, Kountze, Cayuga and Woden all in the Tenaha Tourney Dec 27-29...should be a great tourney.
