77....I agree that this will even the playing field, but I think that helping the athletes understand the damage that steroids can do to there body is one of the main goals...We all remember being 17 years old and thinking we were 10 foot tall and bullet proof. Kids need to understand (and I stress understand) the dangers involved with steroids...Steroids aren't anything to play around with and once you use them it can lead to a major abuse issue.... Baddog...great post my friend, I couldn't agree with you more!!! If we are going to test the kids there needs to be a course of action regarding rehabilitation.

I think Lumberton will make the playoffs...I also believe that this district will make some noise in the playoffs.

I guess the other thread was taken off, so I'll just post my comments here. Coaching high school football is tough....Here's the bottom line, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks about the OC, it only matters what Coach Hooks thinks...and I believe he has things in control. My dad coached for 35 years and I did as well for 3 years and the worst part was always dealing with railbirds...no disrespect intended, but coaching high school football is much tougher than coaching peewee football on saturday mornings...

Thats the great thing about football...it's a game and the athletes should be able to have fun....not to mention getting the crowd going crazy and making the return team think a little too much before the ball is even kicked.

it's real simple, go get a degree and become certified to teach so you can become a coach....that way you wont have to always second guess the coach.
