1. Do you have a score on the EC / Dville. Game?
2. Brandon Johnson "BJ" was the pitcher for EC.
3. 58 EC 55 Hitchcock.      47 seconds left
4. We look forward to Franklin playing up to their potential and likewise E.C. Bringing their best skills to the field on Friday night in Waller.  We will enjoy an exciting game, and find out who really wants it and has put forth the time and effort needed to pull out a Win.  It is great to witness how these young men support and communicate with one another on and off the field.  They have learned to trust one another and have grown because a good sports program is in place that brings out the best in athletes.  These young men are giving it there all and make us proud every time they step out on the field! Stay committed, stay focused and take it to Franklin with everything you've got...  GO BUCS!    ;D
5. Take a page out of Newton's Playbook for their home games.  Get four of the biggest fire trucks you can find that have the loudest possible horns and park them at the 50 yard line.  If you are not allowed on the 50, then the fence line in the End zone is acceptable.    If fire trucks are not available, then two freight trains with horns and whistles placed strategically at opposite end of the football field will suffice.  When a Teague player does anything that is remotely positive, then blow your horns in unison until a full set of downs is complete.  Don't let up...  This is very effective if only a few your fans show up to cheer your team.  You will need every possible advantage, because Newton is in their STRIDE!  ::)
6. So tell us what just happened Kvillecat67... :o  you always get the info 2 minutes before my source....
7. Troup was a worthy opponent who never gave up!  They fought through the 2nd overtime!  Final Congratulations to E.C. in their VICTORY!  ;D
8. :o  Scratching my head as I try to understand some of these predictions and rankings.  According to one source, Oakwood is ranked 16th  in state with a record of 4 and 2, while High Island is ranked 78th with a record of 6 and 1. :-\  It must be convoluted boolean logic or unbalanced binary logarithms.
9. In spite of many confident predictions of an easy win over HJ, the Hawks came out playing with heart.  They never gave up on themselves, and played hard every quarter.  The best offensive play of the game: when the HJ QB kept the ball over the right side and encountered 3 EC players at the defensive end position.  He broke away from all three and bounced outside like a pin ball.  Scrambling down field he broke another tackle and dove into the end zone!  That was great football....  Congratulations HJ.
10. East Chambers 45 Hardin-Jefferson 7
11. Evadale is playing solid baseball. Evadale's record speaks for the club's talent and coaching success. If Evadale is playing at the top of their game, then little can be said for High Island attempt to repeat last year's run. However, High Island thrives on being the underdog. I recall some who wrote the Cardinal's out of any chance at the playoffs last year. With Sievers gone, Evadale has returned with a taste, no a hunger to win. Home (High Island) field is a small advantage, but no advantage at all if the Cardinals take themselves out of the game with self-inflicted wounds (errors). If changes made this week have not been implemented to late in the season, then High Island may present a crack (wrinkle) or two in the monument that has already been erected to Evadale 2008 Championship Season. If Evadale brings their bats to the beach, then the Cardinals better step up to the plate and hit the ball right back at them. It should be a good game. Pride Goeth Before a Fall....
12. Doesn't seem right you may well have to play each other. Get out there and take all the wins you can get... Good Luck...
13. Fayettville came out to play ball and put their mark on the field in the first inning. Fayettville set the tempo in the top of the first inning and stayed focused on their goal. To High Island's shagrin, they were unable match the intensity of their opponents' desire and focus. We applaud and respect Fayetville's ability to smack the ball around the diamond while standing in the batter's box without fear. A bit of fear and/or a lack of playoff experience gathered momentum on the Cardinal's side leaving the players standing on the field and in the batter's box while wishing and wanting. Sadly, the innings dragged on and runs piled up on the board like a pile of dishes that nobody wanted to wash after Thanksgiving Dinner. The Cardinals are not accustomed to losing, but rather, have made it a habit to adjust to changing situtations and do what ever is necessary to secure a win. Coach Hooker has manufactered a win when necessary and I strongly suspect that his creative juices have been flowing after this last game. One humbling experience like this past Wednesday has taught the Cardinal a huge lesson. Coach Hooker is using every molecule of Brain Matter to devise a plan and convince his players "It is in their destiny to win." Will there be a second blow out? Will Fayetteville come into this game with to much confidence? Does Fayetville really believe they can send their cheerleaders out on the field and beat the Cardinals? Is this what Fayetville is thinking? The 3rd game on Saturday is the game to go Watch... CU There!!! ;D
14. I haven't seen any team get more than a couple hits off of Sievers from High Island. He can put heat on his fast ball and his curve has been pretty tough for most batters. With that said, Evadale sent someone to the plate who put one over the fence. We will see tomorrow if any of Sievers STATS change. Sievers takes the opposing team by the throat and never blinks. This Team has found Confidence. The Lefty from Evadale has shown versatility in his change-up and keeps the batters guessing. He pitched a great game in the Evadale/High Island matchup. This pitcher crafts each pitch and will decieve you with his speed and accuracy. Study this Guy... He will cut you quick and the batter finds himself behind in the count. This pitcher has been coached very well and shows a lot of discipline on the mound. TheTeam has shown Great Discipline... Do you disagree?
