I feel like I'm going to a funeral. I despise the end of Texas High School Football. I will be in a funk for 2 months........ except when I'm quail hunting. I'm never in a funk when I'm quail hunting!!!!

You know there will still be some major competition about 90 miles southwest. But congrats to you guys. You have a really good team and your defense was especially fun to watch. I hope we can learn from it!!!

I don't know what is going to happen before it's over, but at this point Manvel is clearly the better team and has the best athletes........ Hopefully the "Jerry" factor won't get in the way. And as I am typing Manvel has another 1 play drive!!!

Y'all remember when I said this and got phoo phooed. I knew those big boys never winded against us and I promise we tried to run them in the ground. What I found interesting in the broadcast was that #90, the defensive lineman that wreaked havoc all day at 300lbs.......is a freaking starter on PGs soccer team. I guess that was why he was so well conditioned.

I would like to say from a person that truly admires High School dynasties.......WOS is the true definition of that. That is a program to be proud of and I know you are. You lost in the title game, but those kids never quit. NEVER. Even when all odds were against them they never quit. That's something that all WOS fans should be proud of. Congratulations guys on a GREAT RUN. Y'all have lots of talent and I don't think we are even close to seeing the end of this. On another note XXman you should find another hobby. Football makes you miserable and you should find something that makes life a little more enjoyable. You bitched and whined and moaned about everything those coaches and kids did. It's easy to be a fan when all is good. Those kids deserve better than that.

All the more reason I don't like PG. I know they are excited because it's their first ever trip to the finals. But jeez......there opponent has a freaking 40 game winning streak. At least have some respect. Few do........most don't.

We can agree to disagree. We played absolutely horrible in the first half. But enough about then, this is the present. This game will be awesome and I think it will be VERY competitive. 2 good teams no doubt.

This a great game. As was the Mart Refurio game last night.

The reason I have not posted any on this game is because I didn't want to step on any toes. You guys love the Stangs and I get that. I don't have a dog in the hunt. I am not one those "pull for my district mates". I don't care either way. I like dynasties and I like underdogs, but I don't like PG. That being said, this will be IMO the most formidable opponent WOS has faced since 2014 Gilmer. I am not saying they are going to win......but they are good, dang good. At this point I'm just an outsider hoping for a damn good game. I like to be entertained!!!

Their athletes. Sometimes it's not about the scheme. It's about the athletes. PG has them all over the field on both sides of the ball. They are well conditioned and they will not wind. We ran them all over the field for 4 quarters and they will not stop coming. What you are going to see is a mirror. Other than the offensive schemes these 2 teams look alot like each other. Big, strong, fast and athletic. This game is going to be EPIC and I for one can't wait to watch it. But win lose or draw you will not run PG in the ground. Good luck to both. I hope it's all it's built up to be.......and I think it will be.

Went to Vernon Friday night and wached Gunter and Canadian. We left when Gunter made it 42-14 on first drive of 2nd half. Newton going to have their hands full no doubt.

Survive and advance guys survive and advance. But I do believe for the Mustangs to advance this week........they are going to have to find some more offense. Not a lot more......but some. I think you going to need at least 24.

WOS will have their hands full with Cuero if they both get that far. But they have the experience and the talent. Just have to see if they put it together.
