From www.kogt.com Jace Statum led the Orangefield Bobcats in a 5-0 shutout against Kirbyville Tuesday night. Statum was the winning pitcher for the Cats with 14 strikeouts. He gave up one hit. In addition, he was 3 for 3 at bat. Four players got one hit for Orangefield--Possum Lefleur, Jacob Felts, Clint Worthy and Chase Angelle. The Cats will play Bridge City Friday night in Orangefield.

Jasper got their 3 runs in the 1st inning after Statum for OF had loaded the bases on walks and then walked a run in before giving up a 2 run hit. He settled down after that and only allowed 2 hits the whole game. OF had 3 or 4 hits I believe with their lone run coming off of a Jacob Felts home run over the left center field wall. Great pitching dual tonight between the two.
