The earliest I could find that Vidor/Lumberton played is 1996. Since then Vidor leads the series 8-2 and has outscored the Raiders 197-129.

2003 Area Round: Orangefield vs La Grange at Pasadena Memorial Stadium.... Game is tied at 14 and the Cats have a first and 10 at around the La Grange 10 yard line with just a few minutes left. Common sense says run the ball three times and if you don't get in kick the field goal and you advance to the third round of the playoffs, a place OF has never been. On first down we throw an out route and it is intercepted at the La Grange 3 yard line. The very next play the Leopard QB takes the snap and rolls to his right side, the entire defense goes that way too and he cuts it back to the left and takes it down the far sideline to about the OF 20. They run a few plays and with 3 seconds left kick the game winning field goal to win 17-14. If we had just RAN the ball and kicked, chances are we would have won the game.

If they go into the playoffs in the same division as Marlin, Tatum etc. those teams will give the Eagles a run for their money. Tatum/Newton would be a heck of a game! Defending 2A champs against last years 3A champs.

2000 area round, BC vs Cleveland. BC linebacker Robert Melich delivered a monster lick to the Cleveland tailback. He was in the backfield and got to the tailback as soon as the ball did. I have the game on tape and I watch it every now and then.
