1. Pujols asked Larussa to let backup catcher Laird get an at bat and offered his spot. Larussa nixed it and albert hit his 3rd HR.
2. Albert Pujols joins Babe Ruth and Reggie Jackson as only players with 3 HRs in World Series. Ruth did it twice. Reggie Jackson did it in '77

5.
Off subject, but i started this thread and posted first. My name is off and my post is gone? Wth? Conspiracy...I can smell it. Dang tea party conservatives.....lol.
Sorry Kicker. I tried to merge both threads and I guess I screwed it up.
6. I see Nolan Ryan and reminds me of a story. Phatmack will finish it because he was involved. about 1994 In Bentonville, Arkansas at a Babe Ruth tourney. Phatmack was my catcher. We had coaches meeting before tourney and at the restaurnant the director told us we had a special guest to speak. Side door opens and Nolan walked in. He gave a great speech and took questions. I asked him who was his toughest out. he said it was Joe Morgan. Went to my room and got 3 baseballs and he signed him. OK, phatmack. What happen with the honorary 1st pitch?

8. Tigervoice, which game did the Tigers play their best game?
9. I've seen all three BC, WOS and Silsbee. Let me finish this house project, I'm on break at the moment and will give you an opinion later on.
10. Glad to see the Horns turn the corner. On highlights, their QB looks like a player. Orangefield has a good team.

12. Great game. WOS has that chaingang defense that hasn't missed a beat. Bridge City's defense is no slouch. Holding Silsbee and WOS to only 1 TD in 8 quarters is a real effort. Field position won this game, Stangs pinned the Cards deep all night. Both should be competitive in the playoffs.
