1. The season starts tonight and we need help in reporting scores and highlights. WOSgrad does a remarkable job of gathering information for times and schedules. Many news outlets, scouts, fans and coaches use this site. WOSgrad doesn't make a dime, he just loves sports. Don't be shy about posting scores or highlights from your team or any scores you might have. You can PM WOSgrad with your report or text him, he would be glad to share his number in private. Wishing every team success, let's get to Austin.
2.
Its seems the talk in 21 3a is about Bridge City, Orangefield, and W.O.S. in the Beaumont Enterprise. In the forums, its all about Silsbees resurgence because of the return of their pitching. HF and HJ have not been mentioned and im sure they probably like it that way. HJ lost their talented pitcher Duplant to Nederland, and HF lost its ace pitcher  Johnson because he graduated last year. Both teams are maturing but it still remains to be seen if they can make some noise for a playoff run this year. With no media attention, pressure, or high expectations, a team playing with a "nothing to lose" attitude could spell danger for the others in the district. Careful not to crown a champion just yet. ;)
good post fourseam.......hf was a couple of pitches away from the playoffs last year, and return plenty with the only signed college player in this district except q.evans of and C. Dishon bc, in kyle markum....with tommy wendling returning along with a very good ss in chapman plus the soph burrell, hf will compete with all teams.....if you know of some kids the board is overlooking at hj or hf post those names of those kids, love to promote them up.
3. I’ve seen PNG, Nederland and LCM. and no one is heads above the other. Lumberton and Vidor could easily make the playoffs in this district. I usually look at 5 positions, CF,SS,2B, P and Catcher. None of the teams above have the 5 best at those spots, game on
4. During the home half of the fourth, the Aggies added three runs to their lead with an sac fly off the bat of Juengel and a two-run double from freshman outfielder Orangefields Jace Statum Texas A&M got another impressive outing on the mound from its starter as sophomore Ross Hales Barbers Hill returned to form after missing most of last season with an injury. The lefty from Baytown, Texas, tossed six shutout innings, allowing just two hits and two walks while striking out five [Hidden Content]
5. Matt Hicks (ULL/Bridge City) gets his 1st college win with 4 innings of no hit relief. [Hidden Content]
6. Swan did Ok, had some control problems like everyone else. Fults gave up the slam to Zoch but had a DP ball kicked previous to the slam. Imo..Carline looked the best for LCM, Lemoine with 4 walks himself shined for BC. Brandon Humphrey LCM was the hitting star and Scott Vaughn LCM had the best defensive play along with 3 hits. Zach Smith BC plays well at SS along with Dishon in CF.

15. Freshman catcher Jacob Felts (UT/Orangefield) 3 rbi's opening day On his first game playing catcher: It is definitely hard to fill [Cameron Rupp's] really big shoes. I am going to step in and do whatever I can, try to be consistent, and do whatever job I need to do to help the team win. [Hidden Content] [Hidden Content]
16. Cardinals play 162 games, that's over 4 million butts. With Pujols drawing 10 percent of those butts home and away, it's a bargain.

19.
LCM had a good showing also, I would say.
I would say so, put it to an always good Jasper squad.
20. Cardinals just offered 8 years 200 million plus.
21. GCM, Livingston, PNG, Nederland and PNG all make good showings today. Looks to be a great race this year. Anyone have something on Lumberton, Vidor, Central or Ozen?
