  1. Babe Ruth Baseball 13-Year-Old World Series Site Glen Allen, VA August 16 - 23, 2014   If you qualify for the World Series Babe Ruth flies all teams at no cost to the league. It will be a great experience for these kids. Not bad for $100-$150 initial league fee.   
  2. Babe Ruth's brackets are brutal. Have to double dip Eagle Pass tomorrow.   It can happen.
  3. [Hidden Content] Just wanted to mentioned his passing. As a kid, he hired me to call in basketball and football games at West Orange. I made $5.00 per game. In junior high would watch varsity games, make notes then ride my bicycle from stadium to Popey's grocer and use their pay phone. Once a month a check would arrive.

  6. Opening ceremonies are scheduled for Thursday at 6pm. Two locals, Jimmy Collins and Skip Hopkins will be inducted into Southwest Regional Babe Ruth Hall of Fame.   Both Jimmy and Skip have been involved for over 40 consecutive years, either as player, coach or board member.   We will feed 9 teams plus their parents and fans. After the induction, we will have skills contest and HR Derby.
