1. The Angels threw 7 innings of shutout ball, and if Svoboda wouldn't have been on pitch count might have been a no no. Angles are here to compete.
2.
Did they check with McNeese LC, LA.....I think it would be close enough for both teams to play all games over in Lapland(Where TX laps over into LA.
I could be wrong but when the coaches decide home and home they usually choose a park that their players have played many games besides their home park. It would help to know the wind, sun, gaps, backstop's that your opposition may not be familiar with.
3. All comes down to pitching, BC will probably use: Hicks sr. Zoch jr. Guidry fresh. Hubbard soph. What will Jasper's rotation be?
4. OF has the sticks, 2 quality starting pitchers, they advance if they go 2-0.
5. Gm 1.    Thursday.  7pm.    Bryan Gm 2.    Saturday.  3pm.      Montgomery Gm 3.    If necessary.  30 minutes after Gm 2

8. Do you the think the coaches would pit Hicks vs Sowell or throw off if a series?
9. OK we got [s]Vincent Beck[/s]....plenty of room but not available, too expensive [s]Nederland[/s].......covered, excellent parking, big ballpark but some say not fan friendly, too crowded Which below will BC choose? LCM Vidor Lumberton McNeese
10. OK, no Vincent Beck and Nederland, next field you would suggest?

Hashagen very quality pitcher, shut down a Bridge City team who's sticks were hot. Forrest Zoch of BC matched Hashagen in taking the lost in GM 2, both pitched great. Some very strange calls in game 3 for both sides, surprised both coaches got to stay to see the end, Huffman's coach was restricted to dugout but still had a nice view. Hayden Guidry the freshmen from BC gave the Cardinals a chance by carrying the game to 5th so Hicks could be Hicks, he didn't disappoint.
Ruth where were you last night? I searched long and hard but no Ruth.............. Are you a mystery man? Hashagen threw seventy one or two pitches in game two............. Only other Falcon I ever see chunk that good was Listi when he threw a one to nothing zip win over the Ladies from PNG at Lamar. Listi did that with only sixty nine pitches.
I made a few trips looking for you, I was in cheap seats down the RF line. Had Mrs Ruth and the the little grand bambino with me. I've seen the Listi kid pitch at Lamar one year, he was good. IMO , the Has kid was a step above. What a couple games yesterday ETBU. Both teams gave it all and I counted 8 sophmores starting for both squads, future looks bright and we are 4 rounds deep already. Two crazy calls, BC 1st baseman tags runner on bunt, runner quits and then is call safe at 1st, next batter grandslam. BC pops up behind plate, ball drifts back, Huffman's catcher drops in foul territory ball land in fair and they give BC the base. Game 3 both teams pitchers were all over the place, hard to blame blue for a consistent strike zone. Our freshman had 9 lives, don't think he threw two strikes in a row but after the 1st nothing but goose eggs. It was obvious that both coaches were playing Gm 3 as a 5 inning game, whoever had the lead it was over because Hicks and HAS were coming back into the game.
13. I echo the above post, losing Kane Benoit and the Indians still playing this late is a testament to the coaching and the quality of players the Indians have.
14. I know Jasper has played post season in prior years at Nederland, might be partial but it's a great place for playoff baseball.

17. WO-S strikes first in Game 1 win over Orangefield By RYAN S. CLARK The firsts just keep on coming in the playoffs for the West Orange-Stark baseball team. Two weeks ago, WO-S won its first playoff game since 2005 and on Friday it upset Orangefield 4-2 in Game 1 to create more first-time experiences in the Class 3A regional quarterfinal round. WO-S, now 17-10, won its first game against Orangefield under coach Jessie Riojas, who had been 0-6 against their Orange County rival since 2008. The other first? WO-S gave Orangefield, now 25-3, its first loss in its past 17 games. WO-S looks to extend that streak to two games at 4 p.m. today at West Brook, but if Orangefield wins Game 2, then Game 3 will be played 30 minutes afterwards. "It's tremendous to get a win against them because the game is 95 percent mental, and with our kids they are on top of the world right now," Riojas said. "They have that feeling that nobody can beat them. We teach that swagger that they should feel that when the lights turn on, no one can beat them." [Hidden Content]
18. Hicks, bats lead Bridge City to Game 1 win By DAVID HENRY Bridge City starter Matt Hicks didn't have his best stuff on Friday night, but the senior pitcher did have his composure, which helped his team get through a rough start to the game. Hicks and the Cardinals came from behind to defeat Huffman Hargrave 12-5 in Game 1 of a third-round playoff game on Friday night at Nederland High School. Hicks threw a complete game, giving up no earned runs and fanning six. "(Hicks) was a little tired out there, but he battled through it," Bridge City coach Chad Landry said. "It shows you how good he is when he doesn't have his best stuff, but still gives up zero earned runs. Our goal is to score one run an inning and we did that tonight. It was ugly, but we had our sticks working and we put the ball in play." read more > [Hidden Content]
