1. Orangefield should be the favored, I would guess Chase Angelle to get the ball. He tossed 2 solid innings against WOS in a close ballgame that Chase came in with only a 4-3 lead. HF had BC on the ropes till Hicks hit a SF fly in the 6th and Menard's walk off in the 7th to squeeze by HF 2-1, with one hit off Logan Johnson. HF has two freshmen in the outfield, sophmores Wendling and Miquez can play at 3rd and SS. Jake Minaldi the Sr CF can play with anyone in the area. Wendling will probably get the start, tough job holding OF hitters to a minimum.

4. They have really stepped it up for Lamar football. High School sports is still lacking, I get most of my info from this site and it's free.
5. Should be a good game. Hagler might be the key for the Pirates to win the district crown.
6.
6.7 and below is a great 60 yd time and that is the distance from home to second. Most ppl don't run a 6.7 60 lol. Most times are clocked from home to first. The home to second time test quickness not speed because the turn taken at first.
sorry got confused , thinking of 60. 4.3 avg to 1st.
7. I would think home to 1st the most important number. Anything under 7.0 would be average, less than 6.7 might turn heads. Old coach told me that the most important stat to move on after high school is the double. Put a bunch of those on your resume and you might get a look.
8.
Who are the top three batting average leaders on your team during district 20-4a and 19 4a.
I love stats, but high school stats without an official stat person is a crap shoot. I tried last year to post hitting stats but seeing a ball go right through the wicket and it was sent to me as hit I lost all confidence. I went the homerun route this year as the stat we will keep, that one is pretty obvious.

12. Bulldogs pound Central, 20-0 Cody Pastorella The Port Arthur News NEDERLAND — NEDERLAND — Nederland pitcher Kirby Bellow tossed a five-inning no-hitter, striking out 11 Central Jaguars in District 20-4A baseball action on Friday night. Offensively, Bellow and the Bulldogs delivered a severe beating to Central, scoring seven runs in the first, two in the second, six in the third and five in the fourth en route to a 20-0 victory.   The Bulldogs tagged the Jaguars for 17 hits. Bellow had a triple and scored two runs. Cody Laird and Jacob Pitts each had doubles. Pitts, Laird and Tyler Smith all scored three runs each as well.   With the win, Nederland moves to 11-6 overall and into a second place tie with PN-G at 3-1 in district play. The Indians lost a 2-1 decision in their Firday night matchup with the Vidor Pirates, who are 4-0 in league contests.   The Pirates and Bulldogs will meet Thursday at 7 p.m. in Nederland next week. On Tuesday, the Dogs will travel to Livingston to battle the Lions.
13. Hester powers Vidor past Tribe Cody Pastorella The Port Arthur News PORT NECHES — PORT NECHES — On Thursday, Port Neches-Groves Indians' baseball head coach Jay Stone said Friday night's game against the Vidor Pirates would be decided by pitching and defense.   He could not have been more right, as the difference in the contest was two PN-G errors in the second inning and a fantastic performance from Vidor's ace southpaw Trae Hester, who struck out 14 batters in seven innings to lead his team to a 2-1 victory.   With the win, the Pirates now own league-best 4-0 record in District 20-4A, while the Tribe falls to second place with Nederland at 3-1. PN-G is now 10-6 overall for the season and will travel to Lumberton on Tuesday to face the Raiders at 7 p.m.   Hester went the whole game and allowed just three hits. He struck out the side in the second and fourth innings. His last victim came on the final out of the contest, an out that avoided a dangerous situation for the Pirates, as PN-G slugger Amir Jalali was on-deck.   Jalali, 1-for-3, slapped a single to left field with one out in the fifth inning. He advanced to second on a pass ball and then stole third base. But that was as far as Jalali would get and as close as the Tribe would come to tying the game. read more > [Hidden Content]
