Is this poll just for Houston area teams?
I would think so. Brenham has a solid team but over the years LCM, WOS and Nederland have had Brenham's number.
I don't know if I'd go that far.  More appearances than any other high school.  We've been to the state tourney 14 times, 3 of them being in the last decade.  You could add up all of Nederland's, LCM's and WOS's state appearances, and we've been more times in just the last 10 years.  Were a threat to win it all every year.  Second most state titles, with 6.  26 consecutive playoff appearances.  You tell me who has who's #.....  That resume speaks for itself.
No disputing Brenham's State appearences, just head to head.
It's just about impossible to win every game when both teams are good.  I expect the other team to win occasionally.  Out of those 3 teams, Nederland worries me the most.  There's no doubt that all 3 have picked it up lately, but when it's all said and done it's not who you beat in the regular season....it's how far you go in the playoffs.
I'm old, i'm going back to the 80's, 90's, early 2000, WOS, LCM , PNG and Nederland had good luck against Brenham.
 2.
Slob all over MidCounty like they always do.  Ned Bball plus soccer and their sport, baseball, is beginning to fire up back to business as usual....
We try to be humble, but it is what it is.

 8. Let’s recognize superlative play on a weekly basis. I’ll start it out from reports I have received, you can add players as the games progress this week. Nick Cardenas (Nederland)- 4-5 with 2 doubles and HR against BC. Derek Sowell (Jasper) 15 k’s against WOS Taylor Townsend (Kelly) had no hitter till 7th inning against LCM Chase Angelle (Orangefield)...5IP 10 K's 1 unearned run 1 hit...Had a perfect game going until the 5th. Got the win in Orangefield's 16-1 win over Liberty. Chase also was 3-3 with 4 RBI

 10.
Isnt the field the same on JV.lol.A strike is still a strike.
Good point big stick, just don't want to crown the Bulldogs state champs. This weekend at the Deer Park tournment should be a good test.
 11.
Also do you think laird has locked down the #2 starter roll? (currently #1 until Kirby gets back)
Laird would be No 1 on almost any other team in the area. He's just a smart pitcher who doesn't give ya anything to hit. Brown is another good pitcher for Nederland, he just had some controll issues last night and didn't get to use that wicked curve ball. Again, it's early. Can't really judge by the 1st game. Remember, Bridge City's LF, RF, 3B, 2b and 1B and one pitcher had never stepped on a Varsity field.
 12. * On WB's Jay Bruce: "I think he learned a lot. I think it was more beneficial. He was in that funnel and it's hell getting out of that funnel. Most funnels I know of go down. I didn't want him to get under that .200 mark. He came back in great shape and he learned." read more > [Hidden Content]
 13. Leadoff hitter Braeden Riley Woodville had an apparent double to deep left-center on the first pitch he saw read more > [Hidden Content]
 14. Hicks didn't pitch till the 7th. Cardenas singled and cody Laird doubled but he got out of it with no runs. I thought the Raines kid looked real good for Nederland and he is a freshman. BC threw a freshman in Hayden Guidry , of course Cardenas got a double but he also looked good for a freshman.
 15. Been advised Kelly's other pitcher was Falgout, he gets the win also.
 16. Derek Sowell of Jasper I was told had 15 k's in 5 innings of work. WOS hangs with a tough Jasper squad.
 17. Great pitching and defense by both squads. Need some help on all pitchers LCM- Waddell (5) Smith (4) Fults (3) Kelly - Townsend (6) (Falgout)
 18. F Ned 3014210 11 12 2 Bc. 0011110. 4. 4 4 Ned Pitchers Laird, Brown, Raines, Cardenas BC pitchers Zoch, Hubbard, Guidry, Hicks Nick Cardenas 2-4 Hr. Steve Schelete HR Nederland can hit and pitch. Solid team and this without Kirby Bellow. BC looked a little nervous at the beginning. They had 4 starters playing their 1st Varsity game.
 19.
West Brook @ Baytown Sterling? That cant be correct.
Thanks, I've corrected.
 20. My dad took to me to the game in Waco for the State Championship. Worster was the real thing. Him and Joe Washington of Lincoln were the best I've seen in this area.
