  1. Coop, are Haynes and Franks the only seniors? No Admin, to anwser your question: Defense Seniors- Haynes, Franks, Nelson, Rubin, Cook, Arnold (Rubin has been hurt all but 1 game and his replacements are Sophomores) Offense Seniors- Franks, Francis, Jordan (Haynes plays quite a bit, but does not start) Anyway, this year is the year... the time is now. Those defensive seniors will hurt when they are gone. thks, I was under the impression that all the starters were underclassman besides Franks and Haynes. I know the soph/jv teams are loaded and was wondering where those guys were going to play next year with all positions taken.

Two tough spots Ok, I'll pencil in Lumberton then since Mike doesn't think Lumberton can make the playoffs after beating Silsbee.

  12. i've seen them play and they are good, but not where they were the week before the gilmer game last year at this point. they have the athletes to get there, we shall see. coop, this is the year, you have 2 div 1 signees on the field. i would think it would be waste of talent if you are counting on next year.
  13. if i remember many experts said central with 18 starters graduating and a new coach they were doomed.
  14. Titans overcome turnovers, pound Nimitz By Cody Pastorella The Port Arthur News ALDINE — Aside from three turnovers, the Memorial Titans absolutely dominated Friday night's game against Aldine Nimitz. The Titans scored the first two touchdowns and the final two touchdowns of the contest to take a 28-14 victory, making Port Arthur 2-1 on the season. Down 14-0 in the second quarter, Nimitz got on the board with a 45-yard interception return. In the third quarter, Nimitz recovered a fumble at Memorial's 42-yard line and needed just three plays before quarterback Joshua Huff broke off a 24-yard scramble for a game-tying touchdown read more > [Hidden Content]
  15. Vidor runs over Hardin-Jefferson, 35-14 Greg Hayes The Orange Leader VIDOR — The scoreboard at Ivan Croak Field read 35-14 in the Pirates favor over the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks after the final whistle Friday, but head coach Jeff Mathews didn’t seem too happy about it. “We didn’t come out focused at all,†Mathews said. “We were fumbling and not protecting the ball. We are going to work on that this week along with getting to the ball.†The latter part of Mathews’ statement was a reference to Hawks’ quarterback Blake Venable practically walking untouched into the end zone for a two-point conversion after running in for an eight-yard score on a first-and-goal play to cap a seven-play, 58-yard drive halfway through the fourth quarter.
