  3. Sounds familiar! ;D I have noticed something. There are many people on here that are setting Vidor for a lose no matter what happens. They overstate how BAD the teams Vidor plays are and then say Vidor will win by 40. This way if Vidor only wins by 20 they lose even by winning. This needs to be said. The teams Vidor are playing are good teams. We may beat them, but we may not. Either way these teams are not pushovers! Now I said it! > .......... ;D Pirate for Life Vidor is good. Don't let any post sway your opinion. When they stop talking about your team on a message board, then get worried.
  4. I agree. However, I would not allow him to miss 2 a days, weeks of practice and the 1st game because he was going to focus on baseball. why not when he's not going to play anyway? No. He had decided NOT to play football this year to focus on baseball. Now, he wants (or his coach has asked him) to play football again. He has agreed and will play tonight. I would not have asked him or let him come back. oh, now i get it. i would have let him back but he would have started at the bottom of the depth chart and worked his way up. Not good, but it's the old Jimmy Johnson rule when he coached the Cowboys. Everyone has rules except, Emmitt, Troy and Michael.
  5. Next year is the year!!!! Coop, the Stangs have guys faster than Franks and Haynes coming up?

  14. Orange Leader by Gabe Pruitt One on one with Coach Chris Stump: Coach , you are 1-0 and tied for the lead in a competitive 3A district. Thanks for taking the time to answer a few questions that have been a hot topic on the local message boards. 1. Why are the corners playing so far off? Gabe, our defensive scheme predicates what the opponents gives us. We are 1-0 , Gabe 2. OL needs a little more meat on the bones. Gabe, we are still recovering from Ike. We are 1-0 , Gabe. 3. Was wondering how come they didn't throw to the Rhodes kid at all....just curious Gabe, the Rhodes kid can run down fly balls like no one, it's pre-district, we will not show all yet. We are 1-0, Gabe 4. I've been told by several people that last years JV QB was fast and ran the ball great last year and was a very accurate passer. Where's he at, did he move, or is he still on JV?? Gabe, we are blessed with two quality QB's that most teams could only wish for. We are 1-0 , Gabe 5. I hardly ever see the coaches coach during the game. Gabe, we are educators first. We are 1-0, Gabe 6. If you were in full pads on Thursday, would your players whine to their parents on Thursday night? Gabe, I thought you had a no drink clause in your contract during working hours? We are 1-0, Gabe Coach, thanks for taking the time out of your busy day and good luck against Kountze.
  15. I didn't catch him on the show but there is a reason Tom is a print sports writer and I must say a good one.

  22. How big of a kid is he admin? I would guess shade under 6'0. He came in last year in the playoffs when Kirby went down for a game and performed well.
