great game tonight, two solid teams. kirby bellow pitched a gem, giving up a clean single to blake reyenga in the sixth. kane benoit threw alot of pitches early for png but he wasn't touch for hit till maybe the fifth when jude vidrine doubled in the gap for nederland. both teams played solid defense, jordan pitts made some good plays at short for ned. pitts and schlett turn a couple of crucial double plays. jerin spikes made a big league play charging a bunt to get a nederland runner at third. nederland could be one the youngest teams in the area and friday could land a district championship with a huge match with lcm friday.

Colin played summer ball with us when he was 16. He stood out then and you knew he was someone who would have the potential to make it to the bigs. As far as a high school competition with the pros's, never happen. Take a look all the high school teams in our area from 1A to 5A. I could be wrong but only a minor few from each team would be able to earn a starting position on a playoff team moving up just one classification.

I would like to hear more about the great pitching performance by anderson and minadi. A 2-1 ballgame is rare.

Kelly is the only senior on the Tiger team. He is definetly their leader. Everyone else on the team are freshman and soph. They will be a force in a couple of years. I like silsbee and they are young, kinda like bc who is very young also.

silsbee hit the ball well, but throwing errors doom them. the lead off hitter for silsbee is a real leadoff hitter, i think it was kelly as he went 3-4. jenkins the lefty for silsbee will be force to reckon with down the road. bc was patient early which produced some base runners. luke rhodes had a key hit with bases loaded and a 2 out 0-2 pitch. hicks was touched for some hits but made another great defensive play with runners on corner as he came off the mound to catch a foul ball.

harry kalas was a class act. i remember as a young kid in the mid 60's listening to the astros every night because my father always had the radio tune to them. dad never liked gene elston who did the first 3 innings, then loel passe sp 4th and 5th then harry would arrived for the 6th and 7th. i remember one game the stros went 24 innings, we were up a very long time and never missed a pitch. harry, rip.

Hey Admin!!!! How bout a mid season REVISION if any with your thoughts.... ;D Without much study, how did we leave off Logan Johnson (HF)? He is only 7-0 , 52 k's for the year. Let's have some comments of some players who didn't make this list but are producing for their team. I'll review and make a few comments later.
