  1. Roger's wife NY Yankees Don Mattingly's wife EVANSVILLE, Ind. (AP) — The estranged wife of Los Angeles Dodgers coach Don Mattingly was arrested and charged with public intoxication and disorderly conduct after police say she refused to leave his property in Indiana. Police arrested 45-year-old Kim Mattingly after they were called to the home of the former Yankee first baseman to investigate reports of a person refusing to leave on Saturday, a probable cause affidavit said. The affidavit, signed by a Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Deputy Chad Howard, said she smelled of alcohol and screamed at officers.
  2. Looking at this re-cap PNG has some pitching that can help with a playoff run. I don't know how the Todd kid perform in the scrimmage but what I saw in the summer the kid has a wicked breaking ball. He also can swing the bat. I look for him to be a big contributor.
  3. WOS John Patterson Healthy Patterson ready for full season Nats righty 'doing really well,' threw 100 pitches on Monday By Bill Ladson / MLB.com WASHINGTON -- What would a healthy John Patterson mean to the Nationals in 2008? Quite a lot. They would like the right-hander to repeat his 2005 performance, when he set career highs in strikeouts (185) and had a 3.13 ERA in 31 starts. Link MLB
  4. Sampere, Bellows, McFarland, Thamm, Kelly, Hales, Silva in 3 days, Harrington, Carnahan does it ever end. Heck, I seen bh89-2 and eagle07 warming up. HF will be fine, once someone throws under 85. The Eagles have a fine club.
  5. Heading back to my office, turned on KTRH and heard this guy tear Clemens a new one. They are really turning on Roger in Houston. This nut says Pettitte's dad was the supplier for Andy, Roger and Bagwell. His proof, he grew up with Andy, sounds like he wants a little pub himself.
  6. Way to go DJ, Nederland is proud of you.
  7. Richard Emery, one of Brian McNamee's attorneys, hold up photos that were submitted as evidence Thursday. One photo shows a crushed beer can -- which Richard Emery, another of McNamee's attorneys, said was taken out of a trash can in Clemens' New York apartment in late 2001 -- that contained needles used to inject Clemens. That picture also shows what Emery said was gauze used to wipe blood off Clemens after a shot. The other picture shows vials of what Emery said were testosterone, and needles -- items the attorney said Clemens gave to McNamee for safekeeping at the end of the 2002 baseball season. 8. Not good for Roger. I don't know if Johnny Cochran (rest his soul), could pull this out.
  9. I seen this kid play a couple games this year. To me, he's very underrated, kid made some plays.
  10. I think it's a little premature after one scrimmage for Coach Bryant to have his Varsity set in stone. Let's give him a few weeks, to at least see what he has coming back plus the freshman coming in before we outside the fence set his teams ie, soph, jv and so on.
  11. Blast from the past 1/6/98 A sports reporter from NBC in Beaumont told me that QB Chip Ambres will not make a decision between Oklahoma and A&M until Feb.3 at 10 PM during a news conference. Apparently he will take all his visits before committing to any school. That will certainly be an exciting and anxious moment for the schools involved for this All-American.
  12. Buchholz to have AC jersey retired tonight Red Sox pitcher to be on hand for ceremony at halftime of tonight's game Wednesday, February 06, 2008 After tonight, there will be no-no No. 11 on the Angelina College Roadrunner baseball team. Former Roadrunner and current Boston Red Sox pitcher Clay Buchholz, who stunned the baseball world this past fall by throwing a no hitter in just his second major-league start, will be on hand to this evening to have his No. 11 — the number he wore for AC for two full seasons — retired in a ceremony scheduled to take place in Shands Gym during halftime of the men's basketball game against Panola Link to Full Story
  13. Pedro Martinez and Juan Marichal are caught on video fighting cocks in their home country of Domican Republic. I'm not going to post the video, you will have to find it yourself on you tube. It will hit the papers tommorrow.
