  1. I 2nd that Diva, Huperniko knows how to update a ballgame.
  2. So i guess it will be Meeks (BC) vs Ellis (Jasper)?
  3. Missed everything tonight, someone give a scoring update. Tons of updates on threads but no names of who hit the ball, rbi's and such. What inning did Reagan come out? Who relieved him? Did Stringer go the distance?
  4. It was Jesse Floyd for Nederland and Beau Hale of LCM
  5. Well, they hit into DP, another lost.
  6. Down 2-1 in 9th, stros have bases loaded with 1 out.
  7. Cincinnati center fielder Ryan Freel went down hard after making a spectacular catch against Pittsburgh Monday. An ambulance took him to the hospital. The CT scan came back fine. He does have bruises to the head and neck. And the real debate now -- did he catch the ball? Does the video show his teammate placing the ball in Freel's glove before the umpire arrived? 8. SCARE IN OUTFIELD: CINCI'S FREEL IN FULL-SPEED CENTERFIELD COLLISION... MOTIONLESS, TAKEN TO HOSPITAL IN AMBULANCE AFTER 13 MINUTE GAME DELAY
  9. Wake Forest's Dustin Hood, Nederland, bottom, is safe at third base on an error as Clemson third baseman Marquez Smith comes down with the high throw at the ACC baseball tournament, Friday, May 25, 2007, in Jacksonville, Fla.
  10. I could be wrong but I think it goes 3 games. Whoever throws the least number of pitches between Reagan and Stringer in Game 1, that team goes to Austin after winning Game 3. Both teams are very good, IMO the best 2 teams in our area in any classification, they can hit, play defense and pitch.
  11. The 2 best teams in Region 3 meet, you couldn't ask for more. Jasper is very good, so is Bridge City. We know for sure Jasper and BC will meet 4 teams this year, for Jasper to advance they would have to beat BC 4 times in 5 games, if they do it, they deserve it.
  12. Hated to miss the game in person, just as bad, couldn't even listen to Gary and Josh at KOGT. Looking at the thread, Meeks did it again. Not much drop off from Stringer in my opinion. What else can you see about the Hicks kid, bases clearing double with 3 rbi's.
  13. Upset, on paper maybe. The one's that were fortunate to see the game, would have a better perspective of Carthage's talent, but I've seen BC's team for a couple of years and they have no weak links. Stringer is Div 1, Dishon Div 1, and they have a whole team that has the potential to play at the next level. Meeks pitched a heck of a game against Needville in a pressure suitation, Clark and Hicks can also get it done. It's Carthage that has their backs to the wall, my money is on the Cards.
  14. Clemens and Clay Buchholz both pitched well. 15. He's a kid in a man's body, that gem he threw against a very talented Bridge City team at the final four was something.
  16. If Springer pitched the 1st game then Bobby Stone should go against Thamm. Stone and Thamm will be just like Springer and Hales.
  17. It might have been Aubrey Breisidine (LB) or Ryan Piltiere (DB)

  20. Nederland's Lemire Named All-America Tyler Junior College sophomores Michael Wilson and Brock Lemire are first-team All-Americans for NJCAA Division III baseball. Also, TJC sophomore Jose Molina was named a Rawlings Gold Glove winner at shortstop. The announcement was made Sunday night following the Apaches' 11-1 victory over Massasoit (Mass.) Community College at Mike Carter Field. Wilson, a pitcher from Covington, is 13-1 on the season with a 1.26 ERA. Lemire, a third baseman from Nederland, is hitting .449 with 10 home runs and 62 RBIs. TJC freshman outfielder Clint Stroud made third-team All-American. Stroud is hitting .402 with four home runs and 57 RBIs.
  21. BC can win this series. I suspect Carthage will put the ball in play, BC plays flawless defense, they compete.
  22. I can still hear the leather popping at LCM, not just from McKnight's or Smith's glove on the diamond, but behind the concession stand when Beau's sister was chunking. Glad to see Beau is doing well, great kid and now adult.
  23. Lools like Tate hits for power and average, BC might want to stay away from him. 24. Way to go Cards and Jason Clark. I seen Clark throw a real good game back in district against HF, looks like he repeated. With Stringer, Meeks, Hicks and now Clark, you never know what can happen next week. Jason Clark
