  1. We couldn't dress out for PE because of a basketball tournament at the old West Orange Jr High back in 1970. It just so happen that the team we got to watch was Woodrow Wilson. When this 6'4, 8th grader was dunking in warm ups, scoring 50 from all over the court, I knew this guy was something special.
  2. I would nominate Dravanti Johnson of Nederland. By Tom Halliburton The Port Arthur News BAYTOWN – West Orange-Stark hangs the blue and silver moon when it comes to recent backyard state titles. West Brook has its one of a kind first-year 1982 honor. Bridge City is a state champ of special acclaim. [Hidden Content]
  3. I'm planning a WOS vs Giddings and Nederland vs Lamar weekend.
  4. GoStangs The double reverse was bound to work, we are now batting about .100 on those types of plays. This was a huge crowd tonight, seen many PNG fans tonight along with holdover West Brook crowd. Nice to hear WOS fans made the trip. Also seen a few Dayton players.
  5. Best Nederland played all year on the defensive side. Dravanti Johnson played like a big time div 1 player. The offensive line blew GP off the line, Mosley and FB Bass ran hard. It was hard to tell if GP was weaker than the our district foes or Nederland has really stepped it up. Since it was a very impressive defensive showing, I will go with Nederland getting better.
  6. I could be wrong but in the car awhile ago, Hofferth said Lamar was 0-13 from the field at one point.
  7. For about 10 years I would follow a local team in the playoffs after Nederland finished their regular season. Then Nuemann shows up, now it's going to be my 11th year without a chance to see another team in their bi-district game. Nederland never makes it easy, no district champs....Dogs in, fluke play with PNG vs Ozen.....Dogs in, Butler wins flip with Indians...... Dogs in, 5-5 record....Dogs in
  8. Dang 3 votes for State Champions, I need a new coat for that late in the year, should I get one?
  9. Did Coach Moody give Gary the OK to annnounce the Nederland score? My phone was blowing up during our game from my LCM buds because they were told not to give out the Nederland vs Lumberton score.
  10. I've seen Jamall go over 400, Jay McQuire of Silsbee 400, and now Micah Mosley near 400. It was something to see tonight. Coach Nuemann was put in an awkard suitation tonight, his action proofs why he's in the elite class of coaching. I believe Micah understands.
  11. 2007-Most talented class ever? That would be a stretch. I can think back when we had 4, 1st round draft choices, 3 in the same district, and they all are still playing. Brian Sanches...Nederland John Patterson......WOS Beau Hale.......LCM Chip Ambres...WB
  12. I don't know Mr. Bardin, but MIF04 is a creditable source of information. Jeremy Green, I watched many years in high school, solid hitter on his own. If I was going to spend my money or my parents $$, it would be at the Zone with Sam Moore. Not only will you get the most up to date hitting instructions, you will be a little tougher under the skin. Disclaimer. He is blood

  14. Coach Hooks of WOS would get my vote. We all know he has a very strong coaching staff, but it's not just the x and o's that Hooks brings to the table. For the ones that know him, you get my drift.
