I might be stepping on toes but it would be nice if the Select and High School coaches could get on the same page in the recruiting process. Both are excellent sources for info. Remember that the high school coach has more to lose if his recommedation doesn't turn out. Over at Sr Babe Ruth we have a great relationship with all of the high school coaches. They know their kids will get 2 games during the week and then go play Select on weekends. We support Select, plus take suggestions all the time from the high school coaches.

32-7, Nederland late 4th qtr. Mosley with 4 TD's about 200 yrds rushing. Moshier looked real sharp at QB. Guiterrez FB ran hard for Nederland. Jasper has some athletes and some size, looked a little out of sync. Nederland 1-5 on xtra points.

Congrats to Tim I've seen Tim play a few times in high school ball at Westbrook. No disrespect to his teamates but he seemed to stand out without alot of fanfare, he should do well at Ole Miss. About select ball, it's a necessity in today's time. If your not throwing 88-90, hitting doubles in the gap, speed and a rocket arm you better get on that highway.

When I liked Pro Football it was Montana to Clarke. For high school it was wide right as BC beat West Orange 21-20 with Worster in back field.

It's been a long road, as the 16's had to double dip Wharton in State to advance, thru losers bracket in Regional, squeek by in pool play as 3rd place team with 2-2 record to advance to bracket play in World Series. As a kid my dad hauled me all over the place. He was an Orange Tiger fan on Friday nights. On Saturday we either went to Wallace Dragon game or a TJ, SFA, Lincoln, St. Mary or Bishop Bryne game. Heck, Sulphur or Vinton was on Dad's schedule. All my cousins played for WOS in the 80's and early 90's, didn't miss many. Since Nuemann, haven't seen many other teams playoff games except Nederland.

Taylor Robichau went 7 innings giving way to Justin Richard who got the victory. VJ Bunner got a 2 out 2 run double to tie it 7th, then winning rbi in 9th. 16's play JPRD of LA at 8:30 pm. I see no problem of local media making a profit in providing a service. If it doesn't make a profit it's either changed or cancelled. I could be wrong but all the local channels, Gary over at KOGT, Port Arthur News, Orange Leader and Bmt Enterprise are not in the charity business. All have their niche, that's why they are still broadcasting and printing. Do I want my school taxes used to pay media so our local football team could get more highlights? No. Do I want my Head Coach accessable and selling the program? Yes

Mid-County Babe Ruth 16's beat Beaumont Gladiators 11-4 to advance to championship game against Mid-County's Babe Ruth 17-18's. Vidor's VJ Bunner went 3-3 with double and Vidor's Will Fontnow tripled to lead the hitting. Nederland's Josh Cabra picked up the win. In the Championship game PNG's Branden Powell tripled and WOS Eric Sparks homered to lead the 17-18's over the 16's to win the Championship of Umpires Scholarship Tourney 11-7.
