LC-M vs Klein Oak Both teams had good competition in their respective districts. Klein Oak had a no hitter against Marshall to advance. LCM I believe, has too many weapons. Wouldn’t be surprised if Elhert closes both wins. Nederland vs Kilgore Good chance for a little revenge. BigNed will remember one guy for Kilgore, big Eddie Jones from football last year, he’s the DH. Kilgore struggled against 3A Lindale who’s a good ball club. I’ll take my chance with Matison Smith and the Dogs squeak this one out. PN-G vs Brenham As much as I want PNG to win this one, the Cubs are for real. They spanked LCM 10-0 early, played Woodlands to 5-1 lost. In a 3 game series, Cubs take it 2-1. Jasper vs Huffman Huffman has one of the best hitting teams and with Bagley they should be favored. Jasper is solid 1-9, Huffman when series 2-1. Barbers Hill vs Silsbee On paper both teams are even. BH’s top 5 hitters compare with Huffman. Silsbee has a knack to pull out close games and I look for them to win the series 2-1. Bridge City vs Kirbyville BC in 2 Hardin-Jefferson vs Lufkin Hudson HJ could sneak in a win against Hudson, but pitching is thin and they fall 2-1. Newton vs Grapeland Newton Woodville vs Rosebud-Lott Woodville

HF 9, BH 8 Final Game 2 update..Game 3 Thread..Final
adminbaberuth replied to Walk-off's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Hamshire-Fannett was single away from 10 run ruling Barbers Hill in game 2, but hang on to win 9-8. Game 3, HF jumps out to 4-1 lead but BH goes to Barrera the SS, and he shuts down the Horns the rest of the way. BH has a very good hitting ball club. the only weakness I see is the pitching depth. Game 1 starter Hales is legit pitcher that could win a few games in playoff suitation. After him they have only Barrera, that could be productive in the playoffs, but he's such a good SS, it's hard to put him on the mound. I would think BH would want 1 game with Silsbee and take a chance with Hales. Hamshire-Fannett had a succesfull year going 21-6. -
The game is set for Lufkin's Morris Frank Park at 7 p.m. Thursday.

WOSgrad, If your right that means you better make the right call on the flip of the coin if the series is tied 1-1?
-
Most playoff locations are tarped, so if the rain holds out they will be played. If some games get in at least the 2nd game of series, the 3rd could be played Monday if needed.

You can't make 4 errors in the 1st inning against any team, especially Barbers Hill and expect win a playoff game. BH put the ball in play and put pressure on the Horns and scored 2 crucial runs in the 1st. The Hales kid from BH pitched a very good game. HF rolled the dice I believe and pulled Neal after BH got it's 1st hit of the game in the 4th to make 3-0. Hales worked out of bases loaded jam in the bottom of 6th with the score 3-0. If the weather holds up, it will be 2 and out for HF if they play like they did in the 1st game.

Call me a homer but Midcounty Madness isn't hype it's for real. Nothing I've seen can match it. But it's not only football, it's every sport.

Indians peaking at the right time. Congrats to Indians at what a game from Branden Powell. -
BH....200-100-7....10-9-1 HF....000-000-0......0-2-6 WP Ross Hales LP Eric Neal Ross Hales pitches a gem for BH only giving up 2 hits in going the distance. Eric Neal goes 3 innings, then HF used Lange, Cuniff, and Moore.

Really surprised Angelle went 6 innings. Just being a fan, I would like to have seen Haymond and Stringer throw a few. Also, LCM threw everyone but Griff last game against Crosby except Elhert. Womack goes 6 tonight. I believe both coaches treated this like a real game.

Nederland 6 Dayton 0 Final..Dogs Advance

From memory, Matison Smith went 6 innings giving up 2 hits, Beau Helmke moped up in the 7th. -
Great pitching duel between Womack and Angelle. As expected, Angelle got his 12 k's and only minimum hits, but Womack was very impressive and shut down a potent hitting attack of BC. Womack has done this all year, and with Elhert well rested, this LCM team could make some serious noise. LCM put some pressure of BC's defense, which BC should build on during the playoffs.
