These four pitchers, Chase Shugart, back left, Hayden Guidry, Zach Smith, right, and Jake Lemoine, front, have an earned run average under 1. The team did not give up a single run in its playoff series last week. The leading pitcher, Jake Lemoine, threw a no-hitter on Friday. The staff has celebrated two no-hitters this season. Reminder: Tryouts will be 6:00 pm. Tuesday May 15th at Nederland High School baseball field. All new players to the league must attend at least one of the two scheduled tryouts. Our second tryout will be Sunday May 20th at 3:30 pm. Bridge City and Buna players that are in uniform for their playoff games are exempt from on field tryout. Please arrive at 30 minutes early to get warmed up.

Huffman vs Bridge City Thursday 7 pm @ GCM Winner advances

Very good year for the Tigers despite some injuries to some key players.

Bridge City has a very good ball club and in a 3 game series would probably take it with Huffman. One game winner take all, anything can happen.

This will be a good series to watch. I've seen both teams but only one of Brenham's pitchers. Wouldn't be surprised if Barbers Hill takes it but the Cubs have been there just too many times, Cubs in 3. 

LCM had another solid season.They will be there every year. Brenham was impressive as usual. They hustle on and off the field, run the bases well and play great defense.

Jasper does it every year. Solid program.
