  1. No, its your typical city fall ball league. The boys usually play 2 games every Saturday. The games are fun to watch.
  2. Didn't you post from a prev thread stating that you knew of 2 kids (probably the Express) that had decent batting averages, better than some other kids from the all star team? You think they could have made any difference on this team? Which I doubt! Reason being-this Brazoswood team was far better in pitching than what MC possessed. This team went as far as talent brought them to the Championship game. Plus, if they won the 1st game, then MC had to play a 2nd game. Man, you have a hard on for some of these MC All-Star coaches.
  3. Dang G-Boy...Get a job!!! These boys exceeded my expectations in this tournament. Congrats to these young boys for a job well done. Now...back to you G-Boy. Let these boys enjoy being semi-finalists of the state tournament. I'm sure it wasnt easy playing 15 ballplayers every game. I would have thought some parents would not be happy about playing time, but it sounds as if all the parents were very content about the management of the players. btw...next year is next year.
  4. Ditto! Good post glasdbaseball.
  5. G-boy...I got your pm. How can you put one of the league's better all around players on defense and pull his bat from the batting order? The same goes for the other 2-3 players and their utility play. I will say it again, Best 9 should play to get the "W's". Sounds like to much of gotta find utility play for entire roster. Sometimes you just cant play entire roster per game. I hope this is not the case.
  6. G-Boy...Tell me something. Is this from a person who has witnessed their practices or has direct communication from a parent? Inquiring minds want to know!!!! Anyway, you make a good point of reference. Hopefully, they have "The Best Bats" 1 thru 9 in the batting order. As for the OF, it should be good legs w/agility, strong glove, stronger arm w/accuracy, mental acuity, experience, etc.. If the coaching staff pool together their thoughts as a democracy and not let the monarchy rule the post, then good things should happen for this group at the tournament.
  7. Yahtzee....I personally watched numerous games this year at that ballpark and can come up with 1 kid that might should have been considered for that all star team. BTW..he was a Nederland boy. Not real sure of these 2 non-Nederland boys that you are referring about. From the look of things, the names posted on this board seem pretty fair based on the talent pool in this age group. Mid-County Babe Ruth has always been known for its integrity during tournament play ie. "The Best 9 Play". I will make this statement, this is the 1st year that I'm concerned about Little League daddy-ball infecting this 13 yr old league. Bottom Line...."The Best 9 Better Play"!!!
  8. Everybody seems to question the current RB. With the spread offense, we need a mobile QB. Bellows is a quality QB, but doesnt have the running speed that Sampere owns. This offense needs a running QB for the running game to flourish. We have an average offensive line. The O-line pass blocks above average, but run blocks inconsistently. The seams or creases are far and few between during running plays. I like Guti at RB, but look at his average on running plays. This does not come down to 1 RB on this offensive scheme.
  9. Hey Bmtsoulja1....Your right! Your defense does mix up your front 7 coverage, but yall do blitz with different packages. Your defense has disguised the coverage based on what I have read about your team. I think it is obvious Jags will try to confuse Bellows. This part of the game will come down to execution (Ned-offense vs Jag-defense). Also, I expect their to be a few wrinkles in our offensive play calling.
  10. Central has a Charles and Jeffrey Thomas listed as RB's. Just curious...which one is D. Hall's brother or brothers!!! Looks like C. Thomas averaged 12 yards per carry last week.
  11. BTW....Congrats to Micah!!
  12. SFA85... Is he Jr or Soph? BTW..thanks.
  13. SFA85...Neumann has personally helped some of the Ned ex's get D2 and D3 opportunities. Hey...Its not D1, but still athletic/academic scholarships none the less. When the coaching staff goes to the annual Coaching seminar, Neumann visits with some of the colleges recruiters to represent some of his graduating players that have a chance to continue some type of college football.
  14. Bmtsoulja1....A coworker of mine which is a Jag fan says D. Hall has a brother that plays on this team. He states that he is very athletic, too. I looked in last weeks boxscore of Central/LCM and I couldnt find his name. Does he have a brother and is he that good??? If so, what position does he play?
  15. Its only lunchtime on Monday and yall have posted 2 1/2 pages today. Cant wait till Friday gets here. By that time yall will be on page 30. LOL. This should be a solid game Friday night. Excluding any major penalities and turnovers by the Dogs, then we should prevail in a close game. Cant wait to listen to the Jaguar PA game announcer in Bmt. He is usually pretty entertaining. Go Dogs!
  16. What do you mean Roy needs to get his act together? Roy is a soph and is doing pretty good with the time he has been given. Nothing wrong with the current starting RB for Ned. This offense is designed for about 12-15 carrries per game. If we go back to a pro set or I-form, then you might see Roy at TB. I just dont see that happening very much with the spread attack offense in place. Bellows is improving every week with this offense. Ned should win this game excluding any major penalities and turnovers.
  17. Dog67...go to www.kfdm.com and tab over to sports. then, click on Wednesday 1957 NHS video clip and it will at least show you what the program looks like. I saw the demo program at booster club meeting a couple of mondays ago. Maybe somebody can scan it for you and email you copy. If I get extra copy, I would be willing to mail you program to Brady. You can pm me with your address if your interested in a copy. I hope this helps!
  18. dog67...I dont have the names, but you can buy the 1957 program at the gate Friday night for $1. The program will have all the players names, positions, etc... They published 1,100 programs for the game Friday.
  19. As the clock ticks closer to the game time friday night, the conversations on this thread get more and more animated. I'm ready for friday night to get here. GO DOGS!!!
  20. The 2 toughest places would be PNG back in the late '70's and early 80's and I watched Plano East play Plano at Plano Stadium in 1987 while sitting on the Plano side. The atmosphere was just like mid-county madness, but was twice the attendence and twice the energy. The Plano fan base came out in huge numbers to support their football team.
  21. Ned will win by 14. Alot of activities going on in town this week. Dogs need to stay focused Friday night.
  22. PNG should take this game. If they reduce their mistakes from last week at Reliant, then PNG should win easily. PNG 31 Crosby 7.
  23. Your personal problems don't concern me. I will say it again, this is another Nederland thread. "You meant what you wrote"...ok!?!?!
  24. Before you start getting any dreamy thoughts, this is a Nederland thread!!!!!! Who is following who?
  25. Do you mean R.O.L.L.?
