  1. :(I’ll give him credit for taking them to the state tournament two years in a row and deep in the playoffs last year. As far as coaching I have to give him a “Dâ€-, for knowing the game he gets a “Bâ€+. I have followed Bridge city’s high school team for the last six years and I have not seen much coaching in the last three years. Before our coach became head coach I observed him showing a lack of interest in his assignment with the JV teams. I have observed numerous practices that couldn’t hold a candle to the type of practice he participated in during his high school years. One problem that I observed is his lack of communication skills he has with the players. I also noticed that most of the players on the team have no respect for his position as a coach and the reason for this is he demonstrates no respect to them. It doesn’t matter what line of work you are in you cannot demand respect you have to earn it. Until he learns this he may never win a state tournament.
  2. I think enough has been discussed whether Coach Bryant should be coach of the year. The year is not over and the team has several games ahead of them to win. It does not matter who has coached where or what records they have achieved. What truly matters is Coach Bryant and his staff having these young men ready to play Thursday and Saturday! No matter what his actions are on the field he is not going to please everyone in the community. One thing that needs to be rembered is actions and words have an influence on these young men and will be carried with them throughout life. His job is to teach these young men how to play the game, to win and lose. This is a job and everyone is not going to agree with all the decisions he makes (Including myself), so let him perform his job and have these young men ready to beat Carthage. Good Luck Cards!!!!!!!!
