  1. Good game, Nederland. Vidor, you guys really have the heart of winners. The game was very close and could have gone either way. No question, one of the refs was pretty weak to say the least. Coach Quinn has done so much with this team. He's smart, he's tough, and he pushes to get the best out of each of them. Both he and Coach English are great stand-up guys that know how to motivate players. It will be exciting to see the two black-and-gold teams on the court again next time.
  2. That's a shame, bulldog. At least you tried. Heaven forbid the basketball program should get something that would only make sense. I hate to tell you, but the old line about doing a "study" is probably just a pat on the head to calm you down. English is good at what he does, though. He'll do his best with what he has.
  3. I'm not a coach, just an old Orange County BB fan. I wish I had the energy to do what those young men and women do.
  4. Hopefully, Coach Quinn can help make the difference for WO-S. The players are talented and should be able to find their feet on the court without Netherly. If their hearts are in it and they play smart, they'll be as competitive as the rest. It will be fun to see how it plays out. You gotta love 3-A BB.
  5. Way to go, WO-S. Great decision on your part. Coach Quinn is an outstanding young man and a patient, intelligent coach. He loves basketball, and his desire to encourage and educate his students is evident in the classroom as well as on the court. Congratulations, Coach Quinn! Good luck on a great season at WO-S!
