I don't know about powerhouse, but last year, give Westbrook two of Central and Ozen's best linemen, give me the Central kicker, a couple of speedy dbacks and the big Ozen receiver, and North Shore would have gotten all they could handle.

They look great, but unless they blow themselves, they won't help me. I generally just run the ducks off! ;D

You are probably right about the compounds. They are much easier to shoot than the traditional stuff. But, hunting with a bow, requires not just a well placed shot, but also the experience needed just to get the bow up and drawn, without getting busted by a wary animal. You lose that with a crossbow. It's already drawn. Point and shoot, which makes it closer to a rifle. I always feel comfortable once I get the bow drawn. Shooting is the easy part. Like I say, it doesn't affect me because we set our own lease rules. I just like to feel that i am being rewarded(with extra hunting time) for the effort of learning to shoot a bow. Having never shot a crossbow. I don't know if it requires practice or not, but I get the impression that it's pretty simple.

Well, at least I get to set the rules on my own lease. No crossbows! Defeats the purpose of the whole archery season.

They got enough...they wouldn't have committed if they did not deserve what they have received huh? ??? It's none of your business...They got what they deserved and they would not have committed if they felt as if they could have gotten more somewhere else. Both the player and the parents felt comfortable with what they offered. I'm not sure where the hostility/defensiveness came from. I didn't ask specifically what these two kids got. Just curious what a big school recruit can expect. I agree about going for a pair of shoes. I just thought some one here might know a little about college baseball scholarships. Geez

What kind of scholarships can these guys expect? With limited scholarships, do they mostly get tuition/books? Just curious.

You can't expect Nations or USSSA to get it all right. It seems like the coaches should be the ones to know when they are ready for the next level.

I think I would take that this year. 7-3 would be a very good year.
