Yeah, I guess kinda like HJ isn't a football school Yet HJ has made the playoffs two of the last three years!!!!!! 8) 8) "Made the playoffs" doesn't mean quite as much as it used to. -

What matchups would you love too see?

This would be the year for WOS to play WB. WOS is supposed to be on top of 3A and WB lost all skill players plus three D1 backers. This year should be a real challenge for Stump. -
Who is the next GREAT QB coming thru your system?
westend1 replied to a topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Jalen Malone was the better freshman QB. He runs and passes very well. But you are right, I don't think Stump would start any kid over his son. I think you underestimate Stump. I think he will have the best player on the field(that's a subjective thing and you or I may disagree with him), but I don't believe you have any basis for that comment. -
I guess that's why the likes of Bridge City and Jasper are so weak. They have little league programs. : :

What's the name of your team? I'll keep an eye out for them.

I guess you think there would be no politics in PONY? : Their are politics everywhere, you have to be here to understand what I am talking about. Little League needs to change their rules or pretty soon they will be obsolete. They will continue to lose kids to pony or select. There is more to the game than just standing on a base after you walk or get a hit. I disagree totally. PONY rules allow stolen bases at will for the younger players. I get sick of seeing a walk and two stolen bases(all the while the batter has the bat on his shoulder waiting until the runner gets to third.) No force outs at second, no double plays, and a pitcher who is just fighting to get the ball over the plate while all this is going on. It's a lot further from real baseball than little league. If you think you get real baseball in little league well....thats funny. In Pony Pitchers have to learn how to pitch from the stretch, throw over to first. Runners have to learn how to lead-off. Coaches actually have to know a little something about the game in Pony or select. I have coached both Pony and little league for over 10 yrs and there is no comparison. Only 10 years? I thought you sounded like a rookie. :D I don't hold it against you. JK

Sounds like Reggie is doing pretty good. Promising soph. -
Offensively, WB was more physical than the Central Dline. Central had to stack the box to try and stop the run. Blitzing was effective for a while, but Brook put up 40 and pulled starters in the 4th. Central moved the ball against WB on offense(as did most teams we played). I think the game would have been closer if played later, but Central wasn't going to stop Brook no matter when they played. That bottom picture pretty much personafies the state of soccer versus football here in Texas. ;D Looks like MOST of the parents showed up. -
Baylor signee. Not good for the rest of the Big 12.

They are all Beaumont suburbs. :D

I would guess that not many parents encourage drug use(even steroids) It's easy enough for the kids to get them on their own.

Two different questions. Who is the best team? Who will have the best season? Clearly, westbrook was a better team than Central last year, but you have to say central had the best season(of those two).
