Thing is, i think we have the talent to do it. If you had seen the early games this year, the offense was great. No penalties and few turnovers. I don't think we Brook fans are expecting too much to see them perform that way now. But, we haven't seen that type of execution in 4 weeks. At least it seems we could eliminate all the false starts. Those are gonna hurt when we have to get 15 every series, instead of 10.

Question my pride if you want. Just answer a question for me. Do you think we can beat NS with 13 penalties? I don't expect to walk over anyone. I do expect to be playing better after 5-6 games.

At least we know that Lufkin was able to give them all they wanted. We put up big offensive numbers against Lufkin when the starters were in. If Brook can control the penalties and turnovers, I think they can hang around. If that happens, they might sneak out a win.

HE DOES PLAY bBALL , BUT HE LOOKS LIKE A FOOTBALL PLAYER ON THE COURT. Plenty of talent with mediocre skills. He will be an asset to the team but he is not a creator due to lack of ball handling skills. Dante, on the other hand, is pretty tricky on the court.

Let me add this. Ryan Grant is a stud. Some college is going to be lucky to get him. He catches with his hands and has great leaping ability. He should see the field on defense, along with Garrett. Put those two at safety and we would be much better, (just a worthless opinion)

Another shaky game by Brook. Must have had 100 yards in penalties in the first half. At least three nice plays called back for holding. The pass defense is not good. Brook clearly had more talent, but the penalties kept them in long yardage situations the whole first half. Would've trailed at the half but for a punt return TD by Lopez. Second half they couldn't deal with the running game. Less penalties and suddenly, we move the ball. They have a nice QB and good receivers. Brook pretty much shut down their running game in the second half, but they still made some nice passing plays. Overall, we are not ready for NS. We will have to play perfect to stay with those guys and tonight, we were anything but.

My guess is, anytime you play the #2 team in the state, and they are riding a 75 game win streak, you might be in trouble. ;D

My last on this subject. I still doubt that a PNG player was trying for an injury. Heat of battle, you hit them where you can. Makes me think some posters have never played football.

OK. I accept your conclusion that the PNG player " went for his knees". So what? Isn't Beard a big guy? All players are trained to hit low on larger players. it is part of football. Doesn't mean he was trying to injure anybody. That is how you tackle big guys. You will se that at any level of football.

Don't know about that, but it means Kville is in trouble in a couple of years.

Not just PNG gets offended by this. I have seen PNG play and they are not dirty. Injuries happen in football. Get a life.

I think Stump is the best offensive caller in the area, but that might be due to his players. Lots of balance. Defensively, and game management, I've seen better. I think he will wind up as a college offensive coordinator.

what was Brook's record in 82? Something like 6-4-1 before their run to the state title.

Who is counting these tackles? He may have had 20, but, wouldn't it be easy to just throw a number up here? Nobody is going to know any different. All I have to do is give Taylor Reed credit anytime he is near a tackle or fumble, and he will win this week.

They are good, but they are not crazy. They would have to be nuts to play up. I would hurt their chance at a deep run every year.
