I think I have talked my son out of the auto-loader. He doesn't want to clean it after every trip out(imagine that). I have about decided on the Savage Mark II BV bolt action. Nice looking gun with a target type barrell and adjusable trigger. Anyone shot one of these? They run around $300 with the thumbhole stock.

I wish we had em all back. However, I think losing DE Blake Chavis is the biggest loss at WB. Great pass rusher, disruptive on sweeps and often double-teamed, which freed up everyone else.

If what you are trying to say is that a smaller clssification team can sometime beat a larger school, I totally agree. happens every week. But you are stretching when you compare Dayton's scores against Ozen/Central with West Brook's scores against the same teams. Those are preseason games which have little meaning for West Brook. We were still alternating players at different positions, working on new plays, etc. You also have to take into account field conditions, weather, etc. If you want to argue that Dayton is better than some 5A teams this year, I agree. I just think your methods used in trying to make your point were not well reasoned. JMO. Sorry if I "hurt your feelings"

Dude, Dayton got beat by a 3A team and Lumberton. They are good, but don't fool yourself into thinking that they are ready for a 5A schedule. :

this is a free opinion and that's probably what it is worth. It seems to me we need some type of nickle package to counter these 5 receiver sets that we see when the other team decides it can't run the ball. Too often, we have men locked in single coverage with no help over the top. Why can't Garrett ,Grant or even Powdrill come in and play some defense. Those guys know how to break on the ball, something that seems missing in the current defensive set.

That's exactly why there is so little interest in WB on this board. You can't tell how good(or bad) we are because you don't know these teams. At least we play Central/Ozen, which gives posters some indication of our relative strength. Is it really impossible for Kelly to get Silsbee/WOS/Ozen/Central/Jasper/EC on your schedule? Why is that?

I guess that's my point. Are these teams really any good? I hear Sulphur was one and done in the playoffs. Hitchcock is 2A I think, and they barely beat Anahuac. But they were good enough to beat Furr(6-4), who I hear really stinks. I guess Pius must be pretty good. Didn't they play someone else from around here? Vidor maybe?

That seems like a lot to me as well. although I noticed that Pius got flagged 10 times. Just sounds like a sloppy game from the outsiders viewpoint.
