That's why Kelly gets no respect, even when they are good(like this year) We don't know who they play and have no way to compare their achievements. Even one game this year against a decent 3A or 4A program would have given us some idea if they are what you think they are.

If the "Dawgs" go 3 deep, they win state, don't they? Is that all the large private schools there are?

Fort Bend Clements plays some 3-7 team. Clear Lake or Clear Creek, can't remember which.

I think West Brook will handle FB Clements. I know they are 10-0, but they have some very shaky wins over some weak teams. Our schedule was not the strongest, but it looks to me that FB is in a very weak district. Barring turnovers or injuries, WB should see week 3.

WB should get through to round 3. I know anything can happen, but, South Houston looks weak on paper, and Fort Bend (10-0) seems to play in a very weak district. 5 of their wins came against either 2-8 or 1-9 teams. Might have that Cy Falls rematch

The important thing is, you got the school improvements. Who cares about turf? If the stadium issue in Beaumont had been on a separate bond issue, it would have failed. You wanta know why? The people paying the most taxes(not renters) don't care about a fancy stadium. Same thing in Orange. The people who don't pay much in property taxes can't understand why someone would vote against it. They think you guys play great on natural grass(and you do) Why spend a million bucks on turf? It doesn't make sense, and the vote shows that.

That's all right. You guys just keep winning and maybe you can come play in our new stadium. ;D

How is the award determined?. If it's based purely on stats, I assume some of the small school kids rack up some impressive numbers. If they vote for the best player, Chavis on defense. Offense could be a number of players. I personally would rather have Christian Michael than any of the others, just based on pure talent. To be fair, I haven't seen some of the other kids, like Rhodes, Thomas and Hussey.

If Ltown makes the playoffs, then this team will be remembered as the best. It's that simple.

Funny how things work out. Wasn't it just a few short weeks ago that Kountze was complaining that an opponent was celebrating an injured Lion? Supposedly there was a videotape that showed all of this. Now, EC has a similar complaint about Kountze. I guess it just depends which side of the scoreboard you are on.
