Brook leads Elsik 2-0 after 1

Darian Fleming---Westbrook senior, hit his 1st against South Houston

Brook beat South Houston 8-0.  Soph Comley pitches complete 5 inning game.  HR  Darian Fleming

Westbrook soph Roedahl  and senior Ling combine for a 4 hitter.  Both looked pretty sharp.  Too many errors by both sides.

You also have to be pretty careful on the Louisiana side between the causeway and blue buck point.  That shallow water extends pretty far out and can catch you by surprise.

Sounds like the wheels are coming off for the brook.  Concordia scored 5 in the 5th and still batting.

Westbrook and Concordia tied at 2 after 3.

Brook and Pasadena Dobie tied 6-6 this morning

My son tells me that some of the fields are dry enough to play

They are still trying to go ahead with some of the later games.

Nice win for Brook.  The two soph(Roedahl and Comley) pitchers kept Vidor off balance most of the night.  I think Vidor had three hits.  Lockhart gets the win pitching two scoreless.  Fleming doubled in the bottom of the 6th to drive in the winning run.

Yeah.  It's right acoss from the marina where my boat is kept.  I've never had much luck fishing around it.  The shoreline on the Louisiana side seems to be much better.  And no, you don't need a La license to fish there.

Is that a white bass?  Good sized one if so.

Pretty evenly matched, I thought.  Brook scored about 5 and LCM 2, I think.  Not many hits in 11 plus innings.  Overall, Brook is probably deeper in pitching, but the top 2 or 3 for LCM will be  fine.  I think LCM hit the ball harder all night, but they hit it into a 15 mile an hour wind.    Some of those balls would have been trouble if LCM was playing at home.
