[/quote]  I went down this morning and looked at the AlumnaCraft 1860.  It's got a small tunnel and sponsons.  Looks pretty cool, but $13,000 for the boat and trailer(no motor), seems a little high.

It's pretty shallow and rough.  You are ok if you just pull up to the shallows and troll from there.  Honestly, I don't go up in the cove much.  i like to fish the drop off as the sun starts to get a little higher.

Lighthouse cove area.  Anchor in three feet of water and cast into the channel.  Pretty good right now.

[/quote]  I think the Brook numbers went down because about 5 years ago we made a real effort to improve the old AWE league(now Beaumont Baseball).   Whether or not it will stay a good league depends on the guys who are coming up behind my group.  Lots of select guys, so I am not sure how much effort they will put into it.

Westbrook.  We would have to beat Laporte and have Channelview lose to North Shore.

[/quote]  A large percentage of the kids at Westbrook don't play baseball(think Pt Arthur).  That leaves a relatively small group of kids for a 5A program(I think about 60 kids tried out).  Add the fact that many of the WestEnd kids wind up at Kelly.  Makes it tough to be a powerhouse.

[/quote]  I was surprised too.  Seemed like a hard-working, dedicated player.  However, he was smoking a black and mild, which is a little different than chain smoking camels. 

I think PNG and Ozen are the biggest surprises.
