Not exactly what I heard.  I understood that BISD was going to build 3 identical field houses.  West Brook is complaining because they have twice the number of kids and need something a little larger.  That's the story I got, but not sure if it's right.

Liberty must have a pretty decent team this year.

West Brook lost to Victoria West 4-0 this evening.

[/quote] What hype were you hearing?  They were 4-7 coming in to this game and have one quality win on the season.  they are ranked 14th in our AREA poll, behind much smaller schools.  IF they get a couple of pitchers back, they should be able to compete in our weak district, but I haven't heard anybody say they were district favorites.

Maybe our field is still too wet.  i think varsity was originally scheduled for Beaumont.

I'd take Reggie Wilson of Westbrook.  Good combo of speed, power and arm.

Westbrook Reggie Wilson hit #3 today against Katy Taylor.

After blowing a 3 run lead in the last inning last night against Dobie, Brook came back today to beat Dickinson 12-3 and Katy Taylor 7-6, thanks to a walk off solo shot by Reggie Wilson.

Charles Guillory.  Good skills, strong arm and lots of pop with the bat.(and still just a soph)

Westbrook James hit his 4th against Klein. Guillory had 2 today against Atascocita

[/quote] A soph started the game and did ok.  It was 7-2 when he left after 3.  Then the coaches tried some kids who have not pitched much(any).  Got ugly quick.  The goods news is(if there is any after a loss like that), Reggie should be ready by district and Guillory didn't play in the game to give the young guys some experience.  By district, they should be our 1-2 combination.
